Extending on this, the current idea is adding either fairy (oof poison) or psychic (oof bugs) type, they gain the ability Grassy Surge that activates on Mega Evolve and I guess it would just have a boost in it's defenses to keep it bulky

God it's so corny but then ALL the characters are talking to you and how you made choices to give them a second chance and a better outcome and I eat that shit up!!!
Bravely Second maybe did dip a bit in the silly side compared to the first but it's still a genuinely charming game

I expected the characters to react so negatively to that but then when the boss "takes over" your game to delete your save file the protag LITERALLY "BURSTS THROUGH" THE TOP SCREEN and basically says "I'm so grateful it was you who was able to pick me up and give me the courage to fight again"

There's very small instances of 4th wall breaking but it comes full force in the final fight. The implications that the will of the characters are not their own because we, the player, are obviously controlling them

It's so funny bc I've been undiagnosed adhd for years (up until 2023) and now when my mom talks about having trouble starting tasks or getting side tracked mid task I have to constantly put a hand on her shoulder and say "mom you are literally telling me signs of adhd"
