For me I think I've landed on its a Very Good game, not quite great. But most of what I don't love, like the writing tone being more YA than like GRRM-y, comes down to opinion rather than objective criticism, other than some early dialogue. Top 20% game I'll play this year for sure.

Well you speak it pretty well in that case. Rousing = energizing preserving = protecting/upholding.

No, let's play a rousing game of Preserving Democracy.

He was a companion from the beginning in Inquisition so you had time for a much more nuanced look but he was a very popular romance option.

My Rook is just a silly boy with (no) horse, and a stick. And maybe a little John Brown in em.

Definitely spent several hours thinking about how dirty my feet must be before I realized the Veil Jumper starting armor has no shoes...

Deep into a gaming binge with Veilguard

I had to cut off my Mohawk mullet because it was clipping through my fancy robe. Then I dyed my hair red. Then I undyed it. And I may have taken a little off my dudes back side because he was a little TOO caked up. I'd have started over like 5 times by now in other games. I have a problem.

False! You can change their appearance at any time! Right from the start of the game! Constant rerollers rejoice!

Is there a vehicle for small independent presses to do audiobooks yet? I would much rather give them my money but while driving is where I do 95% of my reading these days

You ever see your literal dream job get posted and know, with unqualified despair, that you've done nothing to prepare for that opportunity to become available? That's how my Tuesday is going.

He's not doing it because he believes it. He's doing it to help the candidate he wants to win, win. This is also why he bought a social media site. He's attempting to influence people for his own profit. It isn't sad. Its fucking evil.

Big studios are going to continue chasing Tencent/Epic/Blizzard/mihoyo money. Smaller mid level studios and indies will be the ones making smaller standalone titles. Concord changes nothing in that equation. The potential of a Fortnite or Genshin is too tempting for them.

This is why investigative journalists are my rock stars.

My jealousy cup overfloweth. But also thanks for sharing.

Worst case scenario you spend an hour or two on it and bounce off and now you know for sure. Primary advantage of the F2P era.

I agree I don't either. But I get the problem they're (trying to) solve for (new players want to play with friends/maintain old content viability with level scaling shenanigans) Horizontal progression solves both tho without trivializing old content.

As an MMO junkie I've played it a bit. It honestly holds up pretty well, and is well suited for small group play in the open world. It has a scaling difficulty system for leveling where you can choose easy/harder to suit your group. Haven't done much instanced content in it tho.

Ah, a lowland Kodan is waving at me. What a fine day.

Honestly I think there's two paths and Guild Wars 1 did it the smartest way. How long leveling takes is irrelevant. Making the game fun to play at all points is what matters; turns out making the entire game "end game" works just as well.

I never had a following there either so I feel right at home screaming into my own tiny abyss.

I bounced off the show, but mostly avoid discussing it because too many people who did- especially ones who look like me -hate it for reasons I don't agree with at all. Its not for me, but I hope its hugely satisfying and fun for those who stick with it.

Things set up in book 1 and 2 that pay off much later in the series. Esp bits with Egwene, Mat, Nynaeve. To be honest even as a hardcore book purist the first two, arguably 3 books aren't that good as standalone entries. The Shadow Rising is where it became genre-defining.

Even in the absolute worst possible climate scenario, Earth would still be more habitable than Mars.

I'm all the way into SoTO. And yeah they do. But I like it. Probably my favorite narrative of all the big MMOs.

It's marginally convenient but the reality is the old long Boi was a prestige mount, a flex, for several years. People wanted it but couldn't get it. That's why it's being snatched up. It's a very minor QoL upgrade.

I've been playing both for a couple years but the cash shop long Boi in a game that's consistently getting worse QA and customer service and still charges monthly was a bridge too far.
