I take a long time to finish builds, if at all. NO KIT GETS BINNED.

All set up to shoot some built kits. But I can find my tripod mount for my camera. #Histscalemodels

Stepping away from regular model making lately. But my 5 yo son has been badgering me to build his 1/72 Airfix Jeep from Santa. After a brief Xmas build he declared he doesn't like the smell of the glue, so want me to build it. I've obliged like a good Dad. #Histscalemodels

A month on from dropping and breaking the canopy of the Tilly, I've repaired and repainted it and given it the final clear coat. First complete build of 2025, though it should have been finished quite a while ago. #Histscalemodels

Underside of the BEA Trident 1C painted. The exact colour seems to be similar to Boeing Grey, but acrylic matches seem to be difficult to come across. I've mixed a colour from a base that seems close. #Histscalemodels

I've spent the last couple of weeks researching how to remove VMS varnish tide marks. Through no conclusive evidence, I decided to sand it off with 1000 grit sponges and give it another gloss coat. #Histscalemodels

January 2025 Kits purchased - 0 🎉 Kits started - 0 Kits finished - 2 (Almost) #Histscalemodels

Almost seamless. There are a couple of areas around the tail and the nose that needs tidying up. That took and age to prime with a 0.2 nozzle airbrush because I couldn't be gassed stripping my 0.5 to clean out the gunk #Histscalemodels

An Airfix vintage classic. The fuselage has had some huge steps between the halves, but I've sanded it smooth with super glue, increasing grit sanding sponges & micro mesh. Oddly the wings are a perfect dry fit. Some areas to be smoothed out & then it's ready for primer. #Histscalemodels

Disappointingly, the VMS clear coat I applied has left rain marks and runs on the finished surface. Don't know how I get rid of this? Sand/polish and reapply? #Histscalemodels #Scalemodels

I would be spending the night taking photographs of my finished Tilly, however at model club last night I managed to break it and somebody else's model. In two separate incidents. Looks like I'm spending some time repairing the tarp on the back. #Butterfingers #HistScalemodeks

Spot the difference? #HistScalemodels
