Reading all these stories of people dealing with consequences of the NIH stuff is very disheartening. I’m NSF funded and while it doesn’t feel IMMEDIATELY threatened, there is no doubt in my mind that this is just the start. A threat to any science is a threat to all science.

The Trump admin has cancelled the panels that approve NIH grants, & is also banning scientists from communicating with the public, attending conferences, and hiring. NIH is the largest funder of biomedical research in the world. This will severely halt the development of many lifesaving treatments.
