The Pokémon news today

Inspired by @bananly.bsky.social to do a thread of all the media I consume in 2025, let’s gooooo

paczki season in Chicago is my personal heaven

Fabric resource list! @zendosacos.bsky.social started this list and has kept it continually updated. It has the types of fabric they carry listed, too! docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

loving these new needle stoppers 🩶

Oh, before I forget: Talk about what you're being paid. TALK ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE BEING PAID. Tell your coworkers. "I'm making $X/hour. How about you?" Ask your colleagues. "What do you charge per hour?" Discuss raises and incentives. "What did you get this year?"

🛹 Announcement 🛹 From brewing a perfect cup of tea to nailing the sickest kickflips on their skateboards, these maids can do it all while wearing long black dresses, frilly aprons—and skates! Maid to Skate, by Suzushiro, releases Fall 2025.

Reposting this for no reason at all 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 🫶 💙💗🤍💗💙

To all of my Chicago friends out there...

if you’re a person who enjoys art but doesn’t create it you have no idea how many of your faves are in their artist group chats talking about how much more they’d be able to create if we had universal basic income

Bringing this thread back: the thing I wish everyone knew about fabric explained. Every fabric has a fiber and a weave. The fiber is the material it is made of (polyester, silk, cotton, wool, etc.) and the weave is how it is woven (satin, dupioni, chiffon, charmeuse, etc.)

For those learning any language (not just Japanese), especially those who are using Duolingo, you should immediately ditch Duolingo for better alternatives.

Scary supportive Granny saw what you charge for your labor and has a message for you:

✨White Christmas✨ As I prepare to fly home to Chicago for the holidays, I’ve been reminiscing on all the snowy Christmas’ I spent there. I got a little choked up in the middle of this take just thinking back to all the special memories I made 🎄

first project in my new office using glitter: complete can't wait to still be vacuuming up the tiny hell particles for years 👍🏻

Mog

me in september: "i'll make some nice handmade things for christmas gifts!" me 2 weeks before christmas:

"All hail"

the skrunkliest lil man

my number one tip for working with metallic thread: don’t

remember the reason for the season

🔐

I kind of love this:

and i feel god in this Runescape Kingdoms board game tonight

Wish more people realised that for most art businesses, there's only one person doing all the work. Creating, shipping, admin, promotion, starting feuds with other artists, painting unflattering portraits of them into historical scenes, trying to poison them, it's all one person.
