Thanks for the reply and the explanation.
Since I watched @joinordiefilm.bsky.social I’ve been paying more attention to where people find their sense of belonging and what motivates people to actually join something.
Wishing you peace.

good point that the Dems have been through a lot too. Thank you for that reminder. It must be really hard for you to see the Trump supporters doubling down right now instead of acknowledging the insanity. Hard times. So much uncertainty. Sending love and solidarity from North of the border.

Have you watched Join or Die? Very interesting social science on the power of being part of a club (or gym or whatever). Much aligned with your advice.

I get it. It’s tempting to chastise them. But any Trump voter who now feels abandoned and ignored, presents an opportunity to sway them to see the light. Seek those people out and help them object to Trump’s actions. It doesn’t matter why they voted that way. Look towards next election.

Not sure if you saw the TicTok post from the cattle farmer who lost his grant - comments were in the “you get what you asked for” camp - but those are the folks whose opinions could be swayed right now and Dems/blueskyers should find and embrace them. IMHO

Right? Dems could learn from that strategy.

All that dumping on him is a wasted opportunity. Someone should harness his energy and help him fight back against the guys he voted for. I mean the comments are funny, sure, but disgruntled Trump voters should be seen as an opportunity right now; this is the time to start the change for next time.

New follower looking for sane Canadian content/leadership.
This is me & my sister changing a flat tire on a roadside in PEI last month. We’re still bragging about it. (I couldn’t have done it without her!)

They are Canadians who genuinely feel how they feel. they are eligible to vote and seem most likely to side with Pierre Poilievre, so I think people should take them seriously. Yes, okay, they could have the same impact in Canada as the maga crowd did in the US. (But I wouldn’t call them maga)

Feels like he hired the same PR firms working with Justin Baldoni/Blake Lively. It’s sad.
He seems very smart but just conniving. He connects with the anti-Liberal, anti-government, anti-vax, anti-tax folks and I’m afraid he might know how to mobilize them to the voting booth.

Actually, It’s not cool in Canada either. So maybe it is a North America thing.
