squaredle.app is such a fun wordy nerdy game TIL... subfusc (sub-FUSK) Having a drab or dull color, as clothing. From the Latin fuscus, meaning "dark." The words "dusk," "fuscous," "subfusc," and "dust" are all related. ("Drab" itself comes from the Old French drap, which just meant "cloth.")
