Teachers teach. We need a leaderful movement, and there are leaders all around us.

The most difficult thing about the front end is design.

Interviewed this candidate for an SRE role. Candidate said he used helm to migrate his jobs app to k8s. Homie couldn’t tell me what the default files a helm chart consists of. Lol.

Started the expanse rewatch. Such a great show.

This was a super fun podcast chat 😄 Kevin’s a great interviewer! Hope y’all find it useful. ❤️

Zen Browser is my favorite because it has vertical tabs, is light on resources, and supports 133% zoom by default.

Are there any companies that still pay for training?

Hey, while we're talking about erasing history: In 1949 the US military held its first Aeriel Gunnery Competition, later known as "Top Gun." The best of the best competed in dogfighting and other skills. The team that won, was the 332nd: The Tuskegee airmen. So they refused to announce a winner🤡

“It’s better to do less than you hoped, than nothing at all.”

I've been trying to help this guy, but he's not getting it. He's supposed to be a senior-level engineer but asked why he's unable to curl......a cluster-internal DNS name from his workstation.🫥

Everything is dumb

Amazon Prime cancelled. Used to order matcha through prime and now Amazon’s free shipping takes a week. Decided to get the matcha directly from the manufacturer last night. It’s $5 cheaper and guess what? They use Amazon for logistics. It’s arriving tomorrow 💪🏽

Trying to learn to code in 2025? This is part 2 of a 2-part series we did on "The Programming Podcast" that lays it all out for you! If I were starting TODAY, this is what I would need and WANT to hear to grow as a developer in this industry. REAL INFO. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwF6...

Work has been busy and I haven’t had time for socials.

Software engineers of the world, I beg you. Stop disabling copy and paste in password fields. Sincerely, Someone with non-human memorable 20+ character passwords generated by a password manager.

Reposting this guide from twitter because I COOKED here. (and still refer to this at work even now!)

I don’t like when tech content creators prey on those looking to break into tech.

While exploring frontend development, would deployment-related content be helpful to others? I’ve noticed that many new developers often opt for SaaS or PaaS solutions. One drawback is that the cold start times for projects can be quite long. Recruiters/hiring managers may lose interest.

I'm going to tackle making websites pretty in 2025. Not to become a frontend engineer though. Just want my ish to look good. lbs

Had some time to pick up the odin project again. Iterating through the mini message-board project: mb.thecodedom.com Some notes: - self hosting this in a VPS and using Podman to run the containers. - Also went for Sqlite vs Postgres, bc sqlite is good. - as an SRE/DevOps guy deploy is easy
