Let's not forget that Jimmy's inventions are usually built to be either a quick and easy solution to a simple problem that ultimately backfires on him and his loved ones or actual Skíðblaðnir of the 3 gifts to the Æsir.

As someone who thinks too much about lore, let me just say that I think that you are doing the right amount of thinking. I am a ride or die for Gandalf's entire "Good Morning" rant and Bilbo's "I like half of you" burn. I like to imagine Prof. Tolkien writing those and howling with laughter.
