Global temp did pass 1.5 C last year, but that does not mean it passed the Paris target. That requires the long-term average to exceed 1.5. We haven’t reached that yet.
Whether we do is not a physical science question: it’s determined by human decisions. And as Robert says, it’s not looking good.

I own a 2024 Hyundai Kona EV. It did NOT qualify for the fed rebate. To promote the car, Hyundai gave me $7500 discount at purchase, which equalled the full fed rebate. BTW, the Ioniq 5 looks awesome.
