I just dug out an affiliate link if you want to try it, you probably get a free month or something?

I always found from the minute I started using it, every time I've thought I wonder if it can do X, it can. But also they've stayed focused and haven't tried to turn it into a printer, scanner and fax machine as well, if you know what I mean!

@steveparks.bsky.social on this subject, I've always used Capsule CRM, which is excellent - and based in Manchester. In case you're ever recommending tools.
I have also been looking at changing project management tools, just to freshen things up. But I do like Avaza being Australian!

Interested to follow progress on this. One reason it took me so long to get into audiobooks is because I avoid Amazon where possible... Then I caved 😐

Wait 'til they hear we want to change the date to the format everyone else in the world uses too 😳
Anyway, isn't it weird how simple things have become unnecessarily complicated

I'm really enjoying it! Quite... how to put it... graceful. So even though one of the main characters is a serial killer and there are the food/drink references, it's not exactly Silence of the Lambs 😂

Good example of buying a book on the strength of its cover; there was a huge display in Waterstones, bright yellow and very eye catching, and it didn't take much to win me over

I said how my Spanish teacher just left halfway through the second year of A Levels so we had to teach ourselves. We were on Basque by then, which was... interesting.
Then my friend said how they forgot to send her sister's English coursework off completely 🤦🏻♀️😳

I don't really know anything about Kim Petras. I do know that once boundaries are eroded, women self exclude

The answer lies in prioritising the privacy, dignity and safety of women. That needs to be the starting point

Well the other thing that's new since I was last learning is that Spotify exists (and the internet 🤣)
So there's playlists of all the pieces at each grade. I made a special one just for me, with my 4 on it. Amazing!

Well since I last did all this (cough) years ago, they've brought in performance grades, do you know about this?
No scales etc, just 4 pieces back to back. You film it and send it in. No set dates.
So I'm going to practice like crazy late March and see how I get on!

NB ABRSM have free practice quizzes online so I'm going to start right at the beginning and work my way up so it all goes back in again

It's just dragged on a bit now and I've gone from being amazed that I'm even giving it a shot... to feeling like I just want to tick it off now.

Thanks! And I'm actually attempting Grade 8!
I got to 6 around the time of my GCSEs and paused it there... but it always felt like unfinished business. Then I started lessons again a year or so ago to wrench me away from work work work... and now here I am!

I've just been doing a fiddly online quiz involving compound time signatures, choosing between 6/16 and 9/8, and trying to remember what the dots and squiggly bits all mean. My #brain

Sorry, didn't have time to reply earlier. Yes, if you're a Fellow/member you have free use of RSA House... I've only recently had an opportunity to make use of this and I love it!

It would be great if we could fix the entrance to the station too... Terrible for pedestrians and particularly for anyone unsteady on their feet or in a wheelchair
