“After Donald Trump won in November, I sat down to read all 922 pages of Project 2025,” @dgraham.bsky.social writes in The Atlantic Daily. “What I discovered was more radical and more interesting than I’d expected.”

Thank you to everyone who showed up, good news, the judge has been released!

1. Rather than waiting for a funding threat, the state of Minnesota under AG Keith Ellison is going on offense, suing the Department of Justice for attempts to force states to discriminate against trans kids. The latest from S. Baum. Subscribe to support our journalism.

A large protest has started to grow at the federal courthouse in Milwaukee Wisconsin in response to the arrest of a judge in chambers by regime forces.

What

💥 BREAKING: Goldman Sachs shareholders voted today to reject two anti-DEI proposals, both by 98-2 percent. GS Board urged shareholders to vote to reject proposals. "We believe that diversity, including diversity of thought, experience and perspectives, is important to our commercial success."

Almost every line of this story would have been simply unbelievable a few months ago: —Pioneering cancer researcher; —*Arrested* at airport in Boston; —Now indefinite ICE detention in Louisiana; —"Crime": not declaring some frog-embryo samples for research. Read it. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...

Trump is the worst economic manager in the history of the US presidency. Only rivals are Andrew Jackson (for closing the Bank of the United States) and Herbert Hoover (for not reflating in 1931).

Workers are not asking to get rich. They just want to afford three meals a day. In the richest country in the history of the world, no one should work for starvation wages. It is time to raise the disgraceful $7.25/hr federal minimum wage to a living wage of AT LEAST $17/hr.

Art.

OMG, their propaganda photoshopping sucks so hard.

Impeach and remove this man right TF now. www.cnn.com/2025/04/20/p...

Yes!!

My immigrant grandmother, Minnie Innes, died in childbirth 100 years ago. My 2-yr-old mom raised by teen siblings. Today, on Easter Sunday, for my final @buffalonews.com column, my soulful colleagues put Minnie’s name on front page. To read the piece: buffalonews.com/news/local/a...

This just gets worse. Hegseth needs to go now. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/20/u...

AP's Tara Copp reports that there were 13 people on Whiskey Pete's family Signal thread. x.com/TaraCopp/sta...

Of course they are

i’m getting van hollen pilled

Remember the 6 men who forcibly removed Dr. Teresa Borrenphol from the Coeur d'Alene town hall? They’ve been arrested and charged! www.kivitv.com/news/six-men...

Good protest today

Trump fabricated a photo of Mr. Garcia with an MS-13 tattoo on his hand in an effort to keep him in prison. Please understand that Trump regime would fabricate evidence to put you or your family in jail. This is what FASCIST regimes do. My new article: deanobeidallah.substack.com/p/trump-fabr...

petty bastards

We've reached the point in our descent into fascism where the Jewish governor's house getting firebombed on Passover by a guy trying to bash his head in with a sledgehammer is overshadowed by the story of the President saying he wants to build foreign gulags for US citizens.

Harvard redid its whole homepage to push back against the administration’s demands. I mean, this is just a website but I think it’s kind of a great PR move: www.harvard.edu

Letting Reps with newborns vote remotely is pro-family, Speaker Johnson. Thank you, @pettersen.house.gov, for leading this movement, not just for you and your generation, but for Sam and his.

73 million people rely on Social Security

Sure. Tell Grandma to just head on over to X to sign up for her benefits.

Keep talking about the Signal security lapse at the Pentagon. The media may have forgotten about it, but the voters have not.

I worked at Skadden Arps when I was getting my PhD. 1984-86. Proof reader and paralegal. It was a great experience. (And good pay.) Glimpse of a world I would never have— but also did not want. A friend of who mine still works there recommends this piece. www.politico.com/news/magazin...

Following up on this. They just banned a Canadian trans musician from getting a visa to tour the US. They're straight up banning trans people from entering the US. www.stereogum.com/2303977/bell...

HUGE WIN: A federal judge just issued a lengthy TRO prohibiting the Trump administration from freezing federal funds to Maine over their policies protecting transgender youth. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

An actual opposition party would be all over TV for the next 10 days reminding people of this tariff bullshit, letting people know that Congress has the power to end this, and getting to work on doing just that. Instead all that exists is the Democratic party so none of this will happen.

Then it is market manipulation, right down to his "BUY NOW" post on TruthSocial AND THEREFORE ILLEGAL TWICE OVER GAHHHHHH

McGovern: "How is any company supposed to forecast for their future, build a plant, hire workers, if they have no idea what the hell this president is gonna do in his next tweet? ... I need a neck brace to be able to get through all this."

Rep. Steven Horsford to Greer: "So the trade representative hasn't spoken to the POTUS about a global reordering of trade, but yet he announced it on a tweet? WTF! Who is in charge? It looks like your boss just pulled the rug out from under you. There is no strategy ... is this market manipulation?"

Good morning. Today is the 80th day that the U.S. President is running a backdoor bribery scheme in which any CEO or foreign oligarch can send him money secretly through his crypto coin scam in exchange for favors. It's the biggest scandal in the history of the Presidency.

"Even the singular act of holding a sign in opposition to the president sends a message. It says that, as a citizen, I am concerned and demand to be heard. It says I have the right to stand outside on a raw, lousy day and express my opposition..." www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!

ELECTION RESULT: A team of city council members in Rolla, Missouri, have been pushing anti-LGTB policies, including a ban on drag shows and book censorship. Voters just ousted all three of these city councilors who were running for reelection, backing candidates backed by a local LGBT group.

Crockett: "If we are gonna talk about efficiency, let's talk about the fact that as of March 30, Trump's golfing has cost us approximately $26 million. And the last time I checked, we're not getting anything in return for that ... he decided he was going to golf instead of receiving four heroes."

This is hugely horrifying.

This weekend saw millions of protesters. Some of those protesters were online. “Accommodating as many disabled people as we can is very important, because that makes the movement of disability much stronger.”

I think I have been on record in support of this suggestion for almost seven years.

I hate shilling for school visits like "support trans authors 🥺" but actually I think it is good and important for kids--cis and trans--to interact with trans adults as respected professionals and welcomed guests rather than rhetorical specters.

I encourage you to call your Congressfolk this morning, especially if they're Republicans. Stop by their local office at lunch if you can. They will feel this pressure. Make it agony for them.

I’m old enough to remember when I took out a full-page ad in the New York Times last fall to publish a letter signed by 225 mental-health professionals saying that Trump’s severe personality disorders made him destructive and dangerous.

HE’S TALKING ABOUT HIS F*CKING GOLF GAME AS AMERICANS ARE LOSING EVERYTHING

Watters: What kind of manufacturing are you talking about returning here? Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick: What's going to happen is robotics are going to replace the cheap labor that we’ve seen all across the world…

Lawyers have a duty to defend our Constitution. It is an absolute outrage that, in order to curry favor with Trump and continue making their billions, giant law firms like Paul Weiss have abrogated their responsibilities. Thanks to those defending democracy. We will remember.
