My advice to folks that want to “break in” to comics at this point is this: Just make your comics and self-publish them. Companies like mixam.com can print your comics for you. Their products are excellent quality and most importantly, they don’t have any order minimums.

A few years ago, I spoke to high school classes regularly. Kent State, Trashed, My Friend Dahmer were all regularly taught. For the past year, with one exception, I've only talked to college classes. Since my name was added to some of the Red State book ban lists, that door has apparently closed.

I fiddle with making realtime assets a lot but usually don’t wind up with much I can show. Trying to change that this year! Made this building for fun, textures mostly by me and rendered in Godot’s compatibility renderer because I wanted to test that out.

"if I just work hard enough, eventually I'll make it" No. cause if you don't make it that means you didn't work hard enough. And that isn't fair to your efforts. there are so many factors outside of your hands. So much success is luck, and failure is not always your fault. cut yourself some slack.
