I don't really understand why people think copyright itself is a problem. If copyright was done away with and everything was public domain, the obvious effect would be corporations having carte blanche to plagiarize and steal from artists with no repercussions or finincial compensation.

btw machine-moderation to remove CSAM (i.e., actual irl CSAM) from websites is already standard practice. Because 1) it's impossible to manually moderate millions of people, and 2) you want to minimize the need for people to actually look at that kind of disturbing, traumatizing content

Let's make this clear: if you claim to be leftist, pro-LGBT, pro other minorities etc, then you MUST stand up for freedom of artistic expression, which means defending the right for legal but icky art to exist.
