For bigger corporations & accounts, there's always tons of impersonators & other stuff going around them, the average user won't be able to tell an account is verified just by the domain. This is NOT the same check twitter has currently, it's not a paid subscription, just a verification method (2/2)

As someone who uses blender alot to make my own models, that announcement annoyed me so bad, theres legit no need for this at all but yeah "as long as it pleases investors" its fine for them.
At least I dont think that will replace modelers since it generates models very poorly with bad textures.
