Application can have a chat bot which lets you request & design new features into the app you’re using. Live. Who will do it first? Who will do it best?

Um…Apple Notes can do calculations and graphing *with variables* now?! I really slept on that update. I simply started writing a calculation and it completed it for me. I added a variable and it just worked. 🤯

I pre-ordered so many board games last year & they’re all shipping over the next three months. It’s like second-Christmas!: - Facade Games Deluxe Editions (6 games total!) - Earthborne Rangers (so excited for this one) - Brink (from IV Studios of Moonrakers fame) - Root: Homeland - 1 I’ve forgotten

What’s in your 🎲✂️ game design junk drawer? Mine is a random collection of baggies (for holding my prototype bits), card sleeves, random player pieces from games I no longer own, dead pens, post-its, orphaned dice, and so very many little notepads.

🎲✂️ Have you ever intentionally designed for what would typically be considered negative feelings or themes? (eg frustration, confusion, anger) And what place do you think games have in helping us to safely explore & process unhappy themes or feelings?

🎲✂️ At what point in your game design do you focus on the players’ *feeling* of the gameplay? All the time, never, only during certain bits?

Balatro is not for me. I’ll try it again, but maybe I just don’t connect enough with Poker culture or some-such-thing.

Apparently watching TikTok for 4 hours is equivalent in environmental impact to doing a load of laundry? In America that amounts to 5.28 million metric tons of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere every year.

Last time I talked about a startup of mine was in 2022 for an AI tool I built with OpenAI's GPT-3. Back then you had to pitch them your idea before they'd approve your usage for consumer applications. I pitched them Pippin, which was a proto-ChatGPT. Except mine launched with a paid plan.

If TikTok truly were banned in the U.S. it might be best for the environment? The estimates I’ve seen put annual carbon emissions for all U.S. TikTok users at about 5.28 million metric tons of CO2. 😬

If you want to help save the planet, maybe stay off the internet? I've see daily reminders from people that every ChatGPT prompt is harmful to the environment, but not that every two minutes watching TikTok is equivalent to one ChatGPT prompt…

This guy got paid to stand in a room and take pictures with people. Wild. Starting to wonder if I made poor career decisions.

I used to be really vocal online about all my projects and experiments! But then somewhere along the way I adopted a rule that I would not talk about a project until I had made major progress on it. And so, well, I basically stopped talking about my work altogether. Well, with one notable exception.
