Knock Out games coming thick and fast. Some short notes regarding Europa League:

So, wrapping up yesterday again we have to say Liverpool is TOP NOTCH. If play this badly and get away with a steal you are the real deal. Criticized Slot because his team selection of Jota and Robertson, and proven right. Waited too long for the changes as well. Needlessly back against the wall.

How can you be at your worst a the most important game of the season so far? And Slot just standing there! Come on Liverpool, Come on Slot!

No changes half time for Liverpool. UNBELIEVABLE after those first 45. Slot back to sub standard coaching? Feels like that.

Liverpool need Nunez in this game. His hold up play is poor but Jota stinks. I want to see bodies in midfield, Jones our only option. Really poor half from Liverpool.

We need to drop Jota. NOW! Darwin or Jones on!!

Liverpool lucky not to concede. Saved by VAR. All in all, we don't fancy this set up from Slot. Not a lot of options though, bench looking like an FA-Cup bench. This is going to be tricky!

Slot did not listen...starting Andy Robertson as left back. No problem with that, but not unlikely to see him having trouble with Kvaratskhelia - a very tricky winger. Pacy too! And A.R usually come up with a howler. Jota need to get his aim straight. Showed miserable technique last game.

So, wrapping up yesterday we can say for sure that Aston Villa does not have what it takes. Expected a we take control performance, but nothing like it. Used to sitting back mentality does not - these days - win trophies. Those times are gone! A disappointment.

PSG in great form but I don't see them stopping Liverpool attack...and the midfield for Liverpool should be to much too. Liverpool 3p?

When u saw that Arsenal line up and compared to PSV u knew Gunners would win. Pound by pound adds up.

Emry Asto Villa not happy - quadruple change of personal!!

Aston Villa tepid water so far. Lacking belief. Thought they come up with a winning mentality but it's all grey - again. 2nd half more positive?

Aston Villa line up in line with prediction: looking REALLY good, bity offensive. Feeling Emry men will come up with a top performance, but we will see. Away win highly priced!

Tesla trough the floor! Musk losing money. I just popped a small bottle of Champagne. The big one on ice.

I think Tsimikas is the better choice for Liverpool this game. These days he's more reliable than fighter A. Robertson, makes fewer fumbles. So please Slot! Make the right call!

Today, if Marcus Rashford is allowed to start for Aston Villa, he'll most likely drive a stake through Club Brugge, but also Manchester United hearts, by scoring. The game will most likely suit a players of his quality, and he would be eager to show what he can do. Highly priced at the market too!

Deja Vu in real life Benfica again facing Barcelona. This is going to be saloon door football. Defense out the window because know-how game management not top notch from either side. Fancy hosts to win 3-2, pure speculation though.

Bayern M. against Bayer L. a totally open game. Hard to predict since the hosts look a little bit weaker than years before. Probably a tight game, maybe not a lot of chances created? Draw and 1-1 our pick.

Feyenoord surprised by qualifying. Now they face the only Italian team having Champions League knock out stage quality. Inter are to be expected to go for a defensive approach and counter when given the opportunity. They will probably be happy with a draw, coming from a tough weekend game. 1-1?

Wednesday Champions League and some pregame thoughts...We start by saying Liverpool is highly overpriced at 2.85. Salah and his team mates tend to rise to the occasion. Having rested they will also be fit. PSG will have to go for a home win in order to have any chance, and then the breaks are on!

The Madrid derby in Champions League is really unpredictable. Over two legs we are not so sure The Champions will knock it home. Balance this year is not as good as it used to be. Without Kroos, and a younger 90+ capable Modric, game management hurts. Too much front foot? We just watch this one.

PSV vs Arsenal a tricky game to predict. Guests not exactly digging gold in the final third, and most likely happy with a point. Our Arsenal Premier League ending of the season opinion more leaning towards disaster than grey grind it out. They could be in for BIG trouble. PSV to win? Na. Stalemate.

Dortmund a lot of ups and downs this season, but this tournament they know like their own back yard. Lille not to be taken too lightly, but most probably this away game will be too much for them. Not a lot of market value backing the hosts, but not scary low either.

Champions League last 16 just around the corner - finally! We like to have pregame opinion, and so be it. Club Brugge face Aston Villa. Hosts def. to be respected, been around this level for some time. Still, we think Villa has a great chance of getting all 3. Emry experienced and tactically good.

Paul Merson saying Sterling should start...well, well, well. He must be on the juice again. No Isak for Newcastle. Game over.

Manchester City most likely beat Spurs today. Haaland starts, line up looks really strong. Brentford perhaps getting all 3 against Everton? Interesting evening!

Massive performance from Liverpool. Hard work. Defensively and Offensively perfect.

How Trent cannot find Jones on that perfect counter I don't understand. Just a simple square, tap in. Trent not what he used to be!

Curtis Jones Liverpool not really at it today. I would rather see Endo defensively in the middle. We are wide open!

Liverpool having the height adv. on corners. VVD could score today! Or Konaté!

Ernault driving Josh Power himself. We will see what happens. Nice horse.

My GOD Newcastle! Give away, Burn not using is head, trying to cover the entire goal - unlike VVD - and Pope sloooow to react a little bit excused.
