Do folks have a severe reading comprehension problem? Where in the f*ck did I mention Nazis. Brains have been turned to mush from the lack of actual communication that uses real language. If it’s not a picture it’s a problem. Screw it. They stopped a war.

You have no goddamn idea what sacrifices so many activists gave before social media came to dominate the scene. All that acquired wisdom simply discarded because they happen to have been born a certain year and are thus automatically condemned to being the enemy. That’s fine. We stopped a war.

I live in a solid red county in Florida and not one of these asshats have buyers remorse. They’re all 100% behind him. I love to see if they really exist and if so, if there’s more than a handful.

No arguments here on this. He probably wanted to but back then we had a judiciary with somewhat of a moral compass. The checks were actually in balance.
This is where the Dems failed. They allowed too many activists to sit on too many benches. The oligarchs have everything in place now.

Wow. All the memes in the responses.
Ever think that you folks are exactly what’s being mocked? Keyboard activists. Those of us in our 60s & above gave our 🩸😓 & 😢 for the cause. Just waiting now to see if there are any younger who are willing to sacrifice or if cute pictures are what’s left.

Not more honest. Nixon was an arrogant deceitful bastard. He lied about Vietnam. He lied about Cambodia. He lied about the election. He lied about Watergate. He manipulated language. He kept an enemies list. A racist and a demagogue. Let’s not rewrite history.

The Teamsters leadership has always been a blight on union organizing. Corrupt for as long as they’ve been in existence. The rank and file are being duped once again by greedy, disgusting leaders.

Performative. This allows certain Senators cover for reelection when this nomination goes south. Patel is going to be a disaster. I can see mass walkouts, crippling the domestic intelligence of this country. Terrorists are going to have a field day.

Gutless coward? You mean a Democrat in a leadership position. Same thing.

Zelensky is perhaps going to realize that when you get into bed with snakes you’re going to get bit. He actually thought Trump, the Putin Puppet, was going to help him??? He’s maybe not as smart as we think.

It is what they voted for. Besides, don’t you know that being American means no overdrafts. If you can’t be responsible with your finances we’ll certainly punish you for it. Peasants.

Look how angry and concerned he is. 😂 This is not the person to lead the opposition in the House. Corporatist through and through.

I was an activist for 40 years. The Dems stopped listening once the Clinton’s came to power. One only has to look at the capitulation of the Democrats since then. There only message was to convince the American public that the government teat must dry up & corporate interests were best for country.

Far too many people put their radical self interests in front of moral decency. They were more concerned with their finances than being good citizens. The path that the GOP and Republican voters began could only end here, where we are now. Many activists knew this and warned. The Dems didn’t listen.

Interesting word choice about the Dems. “Not just the powerful” is why the Democrats are failing. Because if there’s a choice between the people’s interest and the powerful’s we’ve seen how that ends up. Only in those rare instances where those interests are the same do we see the people considered.

Read Jerry Mander’s In the Absence of the Sacred: The Failure of Technology and the Survival of the Indian Nations. It contains a great critique of modern technology and the need to change direction. Written back in 1991. Praised by Kirkpatrick Sale, Lappe and Matthiessen among others.

Yep. Real life. Because for celebrity real life is all about brand. Rebranding keeps celebrity relevant. These folks don’t really believe in anything but the green. So little Omari here has decided to expand on the “crazy right” brand to sell his stuff. I mean he stays in the news and gets pub.

This is the exact message the Democrats should be using. Humiliate him, mercilessly.

They do t have the balls or else they would have already done this. I’d hate to think they didn’t have the brain cells to figure this out themselves. That’s possibly worse.

It not even so much differences of opinion but rather more of a sense of other opinions not being important because they aren’t forwarding someone’s specific agenda.
But I’m in it for the foreseeable future, hoping the left becomes less reactionary & more progressive, more visionary, once again.

Beautiful and incredible for sure.
That is until the waters around it turn red with the blood of slaughtered pilot whales.

Without a doubt better and more beautiful music than 80% of what was nominated last night.

McFaul sounds like a mouthpiece for the CIA. B/c an outlet for true humanitarian aid is its last function. There are always strings attached like austerity programs. Ask a number of UN counties. It is a front for funding right wing dictatorships. Notice the use of “free markets” first in that list?

I am thrilled, however, to see Raskin as a leader of opposition to Trump and the rest of his Fascist administration. Let’s hope it continues.

Aid to foreign countries is obviously necessary in times of natural disasters & catastrophe. But its history of undermining left wing democracies & wasteful spending should deem it either dangerous & in need of shutting down, or something that could be quite valuable but in need of dramatic reform.

It has provided monetary support of right wing terrorist orgs & a source of leverage in the United Nations for the US to strong arm smaller countries to support US policies. (2)

Is this the fight, though? While ostensibly an agency of good works, it has been a front for interference in democracies on behalf of US government interests, lining the pockets of contractors & corporations. It has more than likely been a front for CIA activity. (1)

Kentucky has a very good Democratic governor. If this effort were to succeed all you would accomplish is making him hated and advanced his probable ouster. Do progressives think before doing or is it just about making ourselves feel good.

Not a single medical expert came close to saying it was 100% effective or any of the numbers you just mentioned except, perhaps, the 80%. Medical science doesn’t live in the world of absolutes unlike right wing demagogues.
To the bit about lies I can only say something about glass houses & stones.

Left wing sources are the most reliable in history, have been for over 100 years. Everything they have advocated for has been for the betterment of people’s lives. You are simply too naive, or hateful, to recognize this or worse, don’t want to. Alas, more’s the pity.
comment in response to

The Dems really never did anything about because quite simply they too benefitted it. It is only now that the right wing has taken almost utter control of media and social media, thereby controlling the narrative, that even the mainstream Dems are worried.

There’s also the fact that for the season the Texans were one of the most penalized teams and the Chiefs wee one of the least. I hate American sports for this reason. So much darn whining.
