Didn't they buy Microsoft's streaming platform "Mixer" just a couple years back? I guess that's probably dead too.

Is it weird that I'm entirely put off by the thought simply because I actually know you and perceive that sort of thing as inappropriate?

So you like to be heard and not scene.

You would think anyone who has spent any real time trying to moderate ANY kind of forum *in good faith*, even one with just five or six people, would understand that.. I guess the "in good faith" does heavy lifting here, huh?

As older hardware dies off (and as cheaters get permbanned), the number of usable Xbox/PS2 IDs drops with no replishment avenue. At some point, Insignia et al are going to have to figure out some way to accomodate emulation-only users or the services will just die off.

I guess, but I'd still kill for a remaster or full remake of Einhander after all these years; there are still some things that would be worth it.

People do change over time. You always hope it's for the better, but you never know if your trust in someone's good character will or should remain.

As someone who's had a full tonsilectomy when I was younger due to them getting infected yearly.. yeaaaaaaah, that's a pain not to be underestimated. Hopefully those antibiotics will get the job done quickly.

Yeah, I'm planning to stick with it. I'll not thrilled with the idea of needing a lawyer, but if that's what I have to do.. Contrary to popular belief, I'm trying to SURVIVE all of this, so this possible impending surgery is critical to that.

Right, you would be in the same boat there. Hopefully nothing happens or the freeze gets blocked, but we'll see where things stand in another month.

Not VA, myself (father was, and I ended up with second-hand Agent Orange exposure through him) but I'm not surprised. I'm looking down the barrel of something very similar with Medicaid and an upcoming surgery I need.

I'm not the organizer, but I am the recipient of the assistance. @ck20xx.bsky.social would be the one you want to talk to, organizer-wise.

I can say the same for Windows at this point; it's a "pick your poison" thing.. and a lot of the time, Linux comes out equal or better for a lot of use cases.. especially when trying to get some older Steam games running.

It's pretty easy if you narrow it down to two questions: "What services do I want to run on this BEYOND file serving?" and "How much drive space do I need?" If you're not doing the former, you don't need much in the way of CPU and the latter helps you work out how many bays you want.

I'd want to buy out Konami and rebuild them from the ground up, personally.

Except when talking about specifically trying to land or fly against the wind, at least..

People like that shouldn't be allowed to have pets OR children.

Prime Hunters made me wish for a UT99 port that never happened. I still believe that could have been made quite possible on the original DS.

I certainly miss the machine, though the face buttons had some nasty sharp edges that led to blisters. The games were innovative and I could keep playing my GBA games too.

So potentially a *new* kind of Streisand Effect, a healthy one.

Too late, that ship sailed years ago. People aren't going to go back to the more searchable ways until Discord screws up badly enough to sink the ship.

I have one of these: global.download.synology.com/download/Doc... I consider it to be extremely reliable and use it across five computers, a MiSTer FPGA, two tablets, and two phones.
