RESIGN

I agree, but I have to think it's a misread on his part - I think the stain of voting yes will make him toxic to the base

jackson doesn't solve the "what if he's forced to play against the Chiefs" problem, but, like, no backup corner will lol.
really good to have him back; you have to think his knowledge of the system would mean fewer of those "rasul douglas staring confusedly at a safety" moments if he were to play

i'm willing to have the policy fight AFTER we have power back and restore order. right now i'd vote for nearly any moderate as long as they hate the republican party with the fire of a thousand suns

As a constituent and a voter: you are a coward who must resign

It would be worth seeing Torres in the Senate to have that happen

glad we have Dorian Williams for the next two years at least. could definitely be looking back at this with regret. praying he stays healthy and learns to play the run better

Oh yeah - the IDC was the bane of my existence forever and the main impetus for making my post. Hoping cuomo loses and goes away soon

Ah ok interesting! I'm more familiar with state level politics in my own state (NY), and I've seen good things come out of competitive state parties (WI for example) but I guess some of the under-the-hood bad stuff probably doesn't get national play in the same way

Was this reply meant for me? If so I'm sorry I don't understand the connection to AZ

I agree that black people are more conservative! I’m just observing that *in general*, a state dominated by one party attracts a big tent - see Simcha Felder running as a Democrat for political expediency. It also means you get cynical politicians. I’m not talking about any specific candidate.

I said nothing about the DSA or the electoral chances of any candidate. All I’m saying is that cynical politicians who might be Republicans in other environments will gravitate to Dems in a state where they’re the only party that wins elections

I’m a lazy whiner because Eric Adams chooses to run as a Democrat in NY instead of a Republican due to political incentives?
Why would you make such a hostile comment? You don’t know anything about me.

Somewhat related to the reason blue state democratic parties suck shit - if you don’t give a shit about people and just want to cynically wield power in California or NY, there’s only one game in town!

honestly, feels like rolling the dice on pretty much any generic dem who isn’t brain poisoned from being a Senator for 15+ years is worthwhile to explore.

Bouie would immediately skyrocket to our nation’s best senator, if only because he wouldn’t have terminal Senate brain

Unprecedented speed in these high profile cases… but federal courts are normally unbearably slow, need to massively expand the judiciary
