Ha, that makes it seem like the UK gender service is quick.. Sorry to disappoint but the autism waiting list is about 2 years while the gender service waiting list is over 4, with Northern Ireland not accepting any more onto the waiting list due to... well it's Northern Ireland, nothing works there.

5 years of sitting in a chair before they even considered the completely reversible hormone blockers, at that point my puberty was nearly finished. And to boot, I was never diagnosed with any mental health conditions, even after being told by multiple professionals that I likely had some.

I mean, didn't they always do this? Before I could be referred to gender specialist I had do over a year with CAMHS, exploring any possibility of mental health conditions. Then after that when I was referred to Beechcroft it was more investigating into my mental health.

As a trans person, I use a disabled bathroom where possible specifically to avoid being abused in a public toilet again. I'm sure I share that with many trans folk.

I think proper investment in renewable energy is essential, rather than producing dirty energy in any form (fossil fuels, incinerating waste). Both energy and waste are problems that need solved, but I think it is detrimental to use one to solve the other.

My opinion would be that while incineration to produce energy is better than landfill it is far from ideal. I would encourage proper separation of household & commercial waste, recycling & the stopping the use of single use plastics. Spending on better recycling infrastructure is essential...

Though it still shows shorts on your homepage and when you search for things, so I agree that a separate app would be useful (or just a separate homepage within the YouTube app with separate search bars for shorts and normal videos)

I use an app called screen zen, which basically allows you to set a short timer to make you think of you actually want to open the app or are you just bored. It also allows you to straight up block you accessing shorts while still allowing access to videos. No more doom scrolling for me.
