I say “die to” but you can still try to revive after it… but also having to get a perfect block timing even with a ~0.5 second leniency after an 8-18 second revive animation isn’t super easy, and that’s assuming you haven’t blocked enough to drain your energy, making you unable to block.

The overworld is reduced to a menu for places to warp to, then you can walk around a tiny room to access the feature(s) of it, compared to NMH1 which has full overworld and a menu as those smaller bits. That swap just feels weird to me.

Another thing I forgot to mention is you can get like seven 2nd winds by pushing buttons before you actually fall down at 0 HP, so health is nearly meaningless. I only died due to being thrown/knocked out of the arena and one grab attack since I couldn’t revive myself afterwards. That’s it.

Oh, also, during the space-boy battle (shortly after Moonlight), I did similar punch/kick things, so I didn’t realize until later in the fight that the rectangle in front of him was, in fact, meant to block katana attacks since I didn’t use it for so long.
