Movie you’ve seen more than six times, no Star Wars or Trek or LOTR

If Jesus had focused more on kitchen table issues and less on unpopular outcasts like lepers and prostitutes, he might have won more support from white working-class Judeans.

So @booker.senate.gov for president?

Finally someone speaks to what Trump's "unsubstantiated claims" really are: bullshit a la Harry Frankfurt. H/t Eduardo Porter www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

I'd appreciate someone show me the statistics for how often Republicans is safe or swing districts/states suffer electoral issues when they shut down the government. My only hope is that Schumer is playing a long game as opposed to what I really think, that is, he's a coward.

I'd appreciate it if news orgs made more use of Harry Frankfurt's incredible work On Bullshit in their reporting on politicians. I'm referring to Trump/Republicans, but people on the left are guilty of it too. Unsubstantiated claims doesn't really capture the intent. They know what they're doing.

I can't believe Paul Rudd is rooting for the Chiefs ☹️

This is a freaking beat down and I'm loving it. Fly Eagles Fly

@himsandhers.bsky.social with the most blatantly nihilistic and cynical commercial of the night so far It's all a cash cow system built to keep you sick and stuck but we're better so buy us instead

What the hell was that tubi commercial. I never thought of signing up for it, but probably won't now

I'm loving it so far!!! #flyeaglesfly

First bullshit call of the game. The refs are showing their colors early.

I don't disagree the DNC has a messaging problem, but couching it in terms of "center" and "ultraleft" is a bullshit way to muddle the solution. The solution is start talking about issues that have a broad base of agreement that aren't necessarily center issues but are likely not identity issues.

I think the one thing we should know about this Trump administration is that it is nakedly Republican, the embodiment of the conservative id. And that id's perspective of the world is that they do not care about you, only themselves. In fact, you could say they hate you.

Opinion | As a Republican senator, I know America would suffer if I lost my job to a right-wing zealot. That's why, to hold onto my seat, I'm voting exactly the same way that they would.

Was it done via McDonald's bags too?

Another benefit of this it that the playing field might be more leveled as players could imagine going to less powerful conferences for playing time on a championship contender. Also, incorporate all the finals and semifinals into the CFB Playoff.

Neither team in the Orange Bowl looked that impressive. And Notre Dame didn't look that impressive in the win over Georgia. The score difference in that game came down to less than 1 minute of bad football by Georgia. Ohio State shouldn't have a problem.

Truth.

How do you make the CFB Playoff better? By incorporating conf. championships into them. 8 conferences w/ at least 16 teams, semifinal conf. champions, conf champions and only the conf. champions enter the playoff. Sure you'll get a few weak teams, but you're definitely going to get the top ones too

With the CFB Playoff, conference championships don't matter. That's not really a good thing

Pretty sure that same kind of hit was called targeting against Dan Jackson against UGA vs Texas

Worst weekend of college football ever.

Narrator: Clemson did not make it interesting.

CFB game #3, dud #3. Though Clemson still has a chance to make it interesting

For those watching Penn State/SMU, I highly recommend turning to the FCS game of SD State/ND State. It's actually good football

Like a terrible dud.

The Indiana/Notre Dame game was a boring dud. The Penn State/SMU game is also a boring dud.

No disagreement here. More only makes it better.

When Seth posts stuff like this I love him more than usual.

I'm watching "The Stanford Prison Experiment" on @disneyplustr.bsky.social and it's fascinating to see what exactly was proven by the study that isn't what we've been told was proven but is actually what we've been told was proven.

Clearly CNN knows this century ends soon...

Random thought while revisiting the UGA/GaTech game, I hate how often Arian Smith drops catchable passes, but I love love love how hard he plays whether it's downfield blocking and especially when he's got the ball in his hands.
