We tried to visually convey these concepts: 🧬 Genomic sequences shown as linked segments 🐠 Astatotilapia calliptera, thought to resemble the ancestral species, takes center stage 🌍 Phylogenetic trees and the other six species branch from it across Africa with Lake Malawi featured in the background
