Thanks for the informative take. I followed you on Bluesky after reading a repost on another social media site. Can’t follow real time news anymore due to stress response so analysis pieces like this help with catching up!

Me too. Super kicked about Tesla stock price falling. Why what’s so immoral about it? Does it occur to him that he’s in the upside down?

Gross generalization alert: Average Americans don’t have the olfactory adaptation to recognize corruption. They are used to “by the rules” & “checks and balances” vs some of us from the developing world where both everyday &major political corruption is common and one develops faculties to sense it.

Thank you for your work! These are really dark and scary times. Hope the country can weather this storm without too much damage too the structure of the house.

Feels like being inside of a ticking time bomb. The time before Jan 20th has expanded-each moment of this present counts so much! And there a fierce denial of what comes on that day & beyond..if there is a beyond in the upside down..or just trudging from one giant mess of a news day to another..

The work is cut out for PSA and other responsible media. The combination of Trump’s obscene, school-bully-style politicking (barely) disguised as governance & real life disasters is the worst kind of toxic, flammable combination (pardon the pun.) And the universe makes it rain (Covid and now this)

Putting another out —what are the chances that Jack Smith’s Jan 6 report will be released? Isn’t it super important that it comes out before Jan 20? I would imagine the incoming admin will have burning it up to-I don’t know- make smokey eye make-up as one of the top things to do once in office.

There is just one party that requires this type of guardrail. Democratic presidents typically have put partisanship aside in these situations - both in substantive action and optics. The adage that “disasters bring us together” is obviously not true if only one political party cares about it.

In light of the horrific disaster raging in LA and the insane school-bully-style truthing by the incoming President, shouldn’t federal disaster relief assistance be dictated/mandated by legislation so politicians can’t use these terrible situations to extract political benefit?
