I do not recognize the United States. It’s really gone.

“Diversity” is a thing that should be respected with regard to people. “Ideologies” are not people. Harmful and destructive ideologies do not deserve respect.

Yeah. Dan McLaughlin sucks.

The Second Amendment backfired. The fascists have the guns and they’re turning them on us.

This man attempted a coup. He goaded his supporters into an attack on our legislature. He is illegally dismantling disfavored parts of the federal government. He is actively persecuting minorities. He is leveraging the power of the state to quash dissent and suppress science and research.

Asking for evidence that a missing and helpless person is alive is cruel and I hope that you recognize that one day.
comment in response to post
Nice gaslighting, asshole.
comment in response to post
It is wrong, legally, and morally, to flip the burden of proof that way. With no evidence that a person is deceased, you presume that they are alive until you have evidence that the person is dead.
comment in response to post
I would not presume that Garcia is dead. How would you like it if you were abducted and people spread the rumor that you are dead when others are still trying to find you and bring you back?
comment in response to post
He’s also admitting he can get Garcia back.

Nothing makes sense to me anymore. I don’t know what to do.

Someone please tell the dumb blonde fascist that there is no great optimism in this economy.

He’s too busy KTFA (Kissing Trump‘s Fat Ass) to listen.

I will never pay one penny for your fascist-enabling paper.

The SAVE act makes it less likely real citizens can vote, you know it, and you’re lying about it. I look forward to supporting your primary opponent.
comment in response to post
Yes, of course. But it’s still hard to believe that people can be that dumb.
comment in response to post
People voted for this liar? 🙄

a) The meaning is obvious and Elad just explained it whether you think the idea behind it is ill-conceived or not. b) It’s not a “Western” example, and that is an arbitrary limitation, but consider the anti-religious campaigns of the People's Republic of China that promote state atheism.

Religion can function as an extremist ideology and thus it can be a root cause of extremism.

Senator Kennedy will do nothing to stop Trump’s tariffs even though Congress would have the power if enough of the representatives voted to take the tariff power back. Fuck Senator Kennedy, and fuck Joe and Mika for putting this despicable Republican sycophant on their show.

“Unfuck Our Country” sounds good to me.

The people trying to preserve status quo race, class, & gender hierarchies in the US are endlessly given more chances, their flaws explained away, their anger justified & rationalized, their crimes forgiven. It does not work that way for people seeking a more egalitarian, fairer America.

We live in a shithole republican country. That’s why nothing happens to the most corrupt shithole republicans.
comment in response to post
How did our nation not get sick of hearing this jackass tell the biggest fucking lies imaginable every time he opens his ugly mouth? We are truly a shit🕳️hole country.
comment in response to post
Millions of Americans voted for a sociopath for president in 2016, and then even more voted for the same sociopath for president in 2024. They were warned loudly and repeatedly against it. We are truly a shit🕳️hole country.

Thanks. I’ll add this information to my list of reasons to never buy any cryptocurrency.

Complete form over substance. Absolute garbage.

I did read most of it. I missed the part where he was patting himself on the back for raising his narrow pet issue in 2023. Anyway, I don’t care. Thanks.

By the way, that blog post by Noah Smith was written two weeks ago, on March 25, 2025, and NOT “2 years ago” and *ignored by folks like me* as you said.
comment in response to post
What a luxury to be an egghead. I live in a very red state and I’m always pleased to vote for a Democrat when the Republican isn’t running unopposed. This debate is a waste of time, but kudos to conservative-minded argument-artist Noah Smith for keeping his comments open.

Ezra Klein is a professional blogger/influencer who doesn’t actually understand a lot of what he talks about. He motivates a net zero number of people to vote for Democrats.

Tim Burchett is a coward.

It’s infuriating that the President can veto Congress taking back power that is granted to Congress by the Constitution! It’s outrageous that Congress ever transferred its power over tariffs to the President in the first place! What a fucking shit show!

It’s like you telling me some crazy stupid shit reason your brother said he voted for Trump, and then telling me ‘well, actually my brother is “very smart.” We can convince guys like him if we just focus on deregulation of construction.’ That’s crazy stubborn stuff, man. I’m out of here.
comment in response to post
Kamala was right, but too late. Womp, womp. [Sad trombone]. Trump is elected. I hope you see how insane that focus is. How can something matter if it doesn’t matter? I’ll keep voting and hoping people wake up, but I’m not going to play this silly podcast/policy-think-piece game.
comment in response to post
Sorry, but no. I’m not going to care about the “regulatory cost of housing construction” or other minutiae. If a Democratic candidate decides it’s helpful to talk about an issue, I’ll support them. Prof Galloway, Ezra Klein, Jon Stewart can consider running. Until then, their opinions mean nothing.
comment in response to post
Furthermore, Ezra Klein is so wrong about so many things, no thanks. He’s just not worth the airtime.
comment in response to post
Thank you, but no thank you. I don’t have time for Jon Stewart. He’s infotainment in my opinion, and I don’t find him helpful. I’m a Democrat. I vote and contribute to Democrats. I’m not down for any petty blame of Democratic inclusiveness to shift blame from problems Republican voters cause.
comment in response to post
Respectfully, sir, that is exactly the campaign Harris ran in 2024, and it resulted in electoral failure because they couldn’t vote for a competent black woman over a white male convicted felon and traitor. Also, nothing you described your brother saying suggests he’s smart at all.
comment in response to post
You know your brother better than anyone on this app, but my solid assumption is that he’s lying about the reason he voted for Trump, and I stand by it. All those bullshit economic rationales we hear are just covers for the hate that motivates Trump voters.

Is it a subset of Progressives? “Progressive Protectionists?”
comment in response to post
Hillary tried to tell you, Michelle tried to tell you, Kamala tried to tell you. But no, this country likes white male racists and sexists. So here we are.
