Hey how many of us full time working women are covert narcissists? Any? No?

I had completely forgotten most of Beethoven and it was a roller coaster. Thanks @nbcpeacock.bsky.social I’m happy to be a subscriber

ED & Alice are visibly horny and I’m not tryin to judge. But just opening all the kennel/evil lab cages to let the dogs run free is so irresponsible. It makes it hard to enjoy the hijinks. THE STREETS ARE DANGEROUS is one of the lessons of Beethoven (another category idea @nbcpeacock.bsky.social ?!)

I admit I haven’t learned lab safety since middle school, but a dozen unsheathed and upturned needles?! That’s dumber than David Duchovny calling dear Beethoven a mutt lol! Right @nbcpeacock.bsky.social

Powerful scene during the 3rd act of Beethoven - Alice & her beloved children stand up to ED as both a coordinated and quippy unit. ED capitulates immediately. I dreamed of having a father so easily plied by his wife and daughter’s rational fears and emotions. @nbcpeacock.bsky.social what a night

Dean Jones’s glasses deserve an IMDB credit for their contributions to Beethoven. And. Stanley Tucci remains one of my favorite actors. I hope the @nbcpeacock.bsky.social Beethoven Behind the Scenes project answers my burning question: did Tucci improvise the cowboy boots???

I’m still in awe that our main villain is a vet that wants to test bullets on a big dog skull and he’s decided Beethoven is the only dog that will serve this purpose. WHO WROTE THIS?!?! (rhetorical) @nbcpeacock.bsky.social I hope you have the sequels available

I had forgotten that animal poaching was one of the hallmarks of millennial child cinema experience. Like quicksand & the Bermuda Triangle. @nbcpeacock.bsky.social could this be a new category for the app?! We can workshop the name. “Millennial Childhood Recurring Looming Traumas” seems unwieldy

I’m pissy with Exasperated Dad for telling Alice that his one birthday wish is for her to go back to work! The nerve! Thank goodness we’ve gotten so much better societally so now ED would be telling dear Alice that even though he’s 57, she should bear more of his children. Beethoven knows better.

@nbcpeacock.bsky.social look, I’m not the one complaining here bc I’m a grown up. But just want you to be aware, there’s a blatant shot of the Jack Russell’s testicles around min 25. Not sure the SPCA will approve of such blatant ball flaunting when there are more unwanted pets than ever.

I am comforted by the familiar TV & film trope showing a family sitting down to a full breakfast before work/school, even though of course our Beethoven’s shenanigans wreaked havoc and I still empathize with ED (see previous post) especially bc the dry cleaning bill must be enormous!

Wow I’m really relating to Exasperated Dad and I have neither children nor a St Bernard. We have two dogs, but combined they’re only 10% as mischievous as Beethoven! Does this empathy I feel towards Exasperated Dad mean I’ve reached middle age, @nbcpeacock.bsky.social?

Charles Grodin, who plays Exasperated Dad in the 1992 cinema classic Beethoven, was 57 (!!!!!) when he played a dad with three young children. Totally looks way younger. I know nothing more about him, but since he passed in 2021, may he rest in peace. What an evening @nbcpeacock.bsky.social

Did the Jack Russell rescuing puppy Beethoven scene inspire the creators of Wishbone to consider that breed? Was Stanley Tucci wearing fake bad teeth? I sure hope there is a Beethoven: Behind the Scenes on @nbcpeacock.bsky.social

wejust started Beethoven and yall. Stanley Tucci and Oliver Platt are evil henchmen in a beginning sequence. I had forgotten. What excellent puppy poacher character acting from these two. Thanks @nbcpeacock.bsky.social and the year 1992

I’ve worked quite a bit on increasing my patience level. And I continue to do so. But I can’t yet stop my blood from boiling almost every time I am on a flight that is de-planing. Why. Must. Someone. Always. Behave. Like. A. Toddler.
