are you kidding me with the no skin rule?! policing how people wear their fursuit, a HOBBY that they've spent a ton of time and/or money on is just absurd. On top of that it's gonna be like 85f, people will get heat stroke if they don't keep cool, especially if they have to wait for hours in suit...

yeah i had a read of it and don't disagree, and work with incredible engineers who sing its praises similarly. the open question of "what does it do to our jobs" is big though. i don't think it's replacing seniors anytime soon, but we've already stopped hiring jrs, so who's gonna replace us?

My problem with it is not the quality of the code. My problem is with the perverse incentives around it. The software industry does not need to move and faster it needs to slow the fuck down and look at what they’ve built and see who it benefits. Most of the time it’s just gonna be investors
