Back in the 1990s some guy died from a car crash after attending some sort of convention against mandatory seatbelt use.

It’s going to be laws that ban AI porn + AI mentioning anything related to LGBTQ+ or other “woke” stuff that any basic decent human being would support.

Perhaps, that’s why the industry needs to make a narrative that age verification itself is the danger and that they are being forced to implement it, with there being a need for safer options. I honestly don’t know, but I suspect that within a few months, age verification leaks will turn up…

Maybe @jmiers230.bsky.social‬ would be better suited to this as I have no experience in this sort of thing, but I do know that this opens a huge opportunity for various criminals to profit from this sort of thing. Its a gold mine for criminality and corruption.

If public backlash hits full tilt as a result of some issue when it comes to age verification - say some teenager is sextorted and takes their own life - I’m sure there will be pressure for politicians to lessen these laws and make them safer (or remove them).
comment in response to post
I would imagine so, but I’m not 100% sure. It would likely be a class action lawsuit after data is leaked, for negligence, Invasion of Privacy or Consumer Fraud / Misrepresentation. The social backlash from this law will also likely play a part, especially if minors or women are involved (VAWG).

A politician would likely care more about being accused of enabling CSAM when a bunch of kids videos end up on the dark web than being seen as enabling kids watching porn. It’s important that they get hammered with this question as soon as it goes wrong. Let them know it’s a bad law.
comment in response to post
I hope so. I doubt any “solution” they force onto websites will work, many will be bypassed or simply ignored. However the key here is hammering officials with “Why is this legal” and “Repeal the law to protect children“ when it goes wrong.

Some chatbots sites banned NSFW/Adult images of (Public) bots due to that.

It’s Chinese I’m pretty sure, like WhatsApp for Chinese people in China. Unless I am mistaken?

This. I was easing my nerves with chatbpt yesterday (don’t judge) about this and it pretty much told me how it would likely work in the future. A bunch of sketchy, pirate based porn sites will become normal, like pirate websites are now.

I know a bunch of operators of Russian (and other) porn sites and I can confirm this. This ruling will go great business for them…

The issue with age verification is that it will be exploited, but we won’t see the effects for a while. There is data out there, videos of kids “verifying” their age and unfortunately (presumably) doing other stuff but we won’t see that for a while. A market for AV data will develop, soon.
comment in response to post
True, I’m just probably not built out for this. I’ve been trying to hold it together for a while now, surprised I have burst out crying. I just have no real idea how to combat this now, maybe at some point in the future. I just hope people get loud and angry over this.
comment in response to post
How do we go foward with this? I would imagine there will be breaches, but aside from that? What now? Shame polticans with crimes from age verification? Try to hold them accountable until they lessen these laws? Try to get a blue state to ban age verification?

And bulletproof hosting providers
comment in response to post
Already happening, criminals are selling kids age verification videos on telegram (or was last year). I suspect this will explode in cases soon, in which case, then the argument would be to get these laws repealed to protect adults and minors from harm.
comment in response to post
If a senator or politician pushes for age verification, they should be able to justify why it’s ethical and safe in the face of it being used to spy on people or enable image based sexual abuse. They should be asked outright why they support such crimes though mandatory age verification.
comment in response to post
Rather than getting them to defend porn, get them to defend the bad parts of age verification - image based sexual abuse, sextortion, data breaches, child sexual abuse material. Ask them outright, why they are putting the image based sexual abuse abroad the privacy of adults.
comment in response to post
The best way to stop this is to get loud about how this puts minors and adults in danger, as soon as a data breach happens, demand these laws are repealed or put under a review. State that its state sponsored sex crimes, use the “trafficking hub” playbook - aka don’t stop criticising it
comment in response to post
The best way for this to be protected against is with bulletproof hosting. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulletp...
comment in response to post
I would hope so, but I doubt it. I just have no idea how to combat this now, it’s impossible in my opinion, outside of highlighting how bad these laws are and calling for those responsible to be held legally accountable, especially for crimes involving children
comment in response to post
What, if any, ability is there to combat or fight against this? I don’t know how you could even argue against age verification now, unless data breaches start happening and children start being abused
comment in response to post
I’ve lost all my hope months ago, I expected this but has some hope it would go the other way. I have no idea about the future.
comment in response to post
How would that be possible? I don’t even know if that would be possible?
comment in response to post
I don’t know what to do anymore, I don’t know how to fight against this or try and stop this. The internet is going to become age gated, age restricted and essentially unable to be used without providing facial recognition…
comment in response to post
Highly doubt it, i guess websites will go to Bulletproof hosting or the dark web maybe. But aside from that, I don’t know anymore. This has legitimately made me decide to just give up, I don’t think there’s anyway to fight against this. I’m trying to hold it together…
comment in response to post
I was hopefully they would rule against this, now I don’t know and I doubt anybody’s else knows. It’s the internet the internet.

Until they come for all states, no matter what.

Yep, pretty much all websites are going to be Russian or non US based from now on. Horrifying, revolting, terrifying.,

Okay, then it’s covered by section 230 and AI companies are immune to harm from their systems, especially when those systems are prompted by the user.
comment in response to post
Look at it this way, if AI models don’t have free speech, nothing is stopping Trump or the FTC from banning AI companies from being “Woke”. LGBTQ+ content, discussions on abortion or even simple criticism of Trump would be put at risk.
comment in response to post
Glad to see fire involved with this case, the possible harm for freedom of expression if AI models don’t have free speech is rather high, especially with the current administration.

I noticed the cigarette packet on Kim’s table, didn’t he give up smoking a while ago and banned it or was that just one of those silly “North Korea bans X” media things?
comment in response to post
Oh no this was created with Gemini, it’s going end up in a SDXL Lora.
comment in response to post
Plus it’s a model for SDXL so any text is going to be illegible anyway…
comment in response to post
I would imagine it’s an isle where they pay you to take things away - rotting stuff, things people have been sick in, maggots… The background signs don’t really matter, these images will be just a fraction of images in the model so they won’t have much impact on the actual model itself.

Generate goblin YouTube vlogs

I also don’t see how this is being an “Art Thief”, if anything it’s the opposite, since I am generating these images myself and not using images taken from the internet?
comment in response to post
Nope, hiring someone to take photos like this wouldn’t work at all. Since their face would be overfitted in the model and I don’t want that. Plus I’m unemployed, borderline homeless and my mental illness prevents me from getting any legitimate job. Or working with strangers…

Not just furry, public locations (unless with permission or legal), wrestling, hypnosis and other stuff I hope other sites are there to pick up this kind of content but I’m not sure…
