Glasgow was exemplary in how to handle the fallout of a major crisis, provide as much as possible to the virtual arm of the con given limited tech resources, & respect the community at every turn. Is there a word that's like "wench" but more vintage than antique? Like, vaguely disparaging but not a full-on slur for a young woman. How a duchess might refer to a slightly annoying but passable housemaid. I have "chit" but I could use another. (I suspect there's not, BTW, but just in case...!)
