It’s a wonderful fragrance.

It would be so tempting to add a few other things to see if anyone is reading them.

I would suggest showing up is the most. But, eh, calling is a very close second.
Also, you can run a calling campaign for things and be making phone calls to talk to others from your home. Dunno how to get in on that.

I feel judged.

I like this better. I nominated the change.

Why does everyone forget that USAID was investigating starlink for musk having systems Ukraine was using in the fight against Russia shut down?
Also, USAID had a crack team of forensic election specialists who were specifically meant to look at elections and find fuckery?

𓉾-pop? Yeah. I’d say so.

Just as an example, here’s Boston Pops playing the bonanza theme song.

Pretty sure Pop-Pop listened to Pops Orchestra.
(For the kids, pops orchestra are orchestras that play pop- frequently “old” pop that predates rock and roll, but yeah. Or, like, show tunes and such. This is distinct from the more… stuffy symphonic or philharmonic orchestras.)

The only way to truly appreciate k-pop is to suffer through and listen to a through j pop.
Besides it’s a right of passage, though most people skip e-pop. That’s a bit too much torture.

Fun fact: ARP and IRA are still law.
So he got taken for a mark. (especially if he’s on Medicare.)
Side note, he didn’t say he voted for trump. Just that his neighbors did. At least in the short video here

Good.
Crank it up. Then start doing town halls without them. “This is what your congresscritter is doing for you!”
Name it some catchy like “Town hall on Congresscritter [name]” so it looks like they might be there.

If you (leaders in government) show up for is, we WILL show up for you.
If you don’t… we’re gonna show up any way, and it will be thousands of times worse.

Right now, we still have the ability to stop this. To avoid the millions of deaths in the Great Leap Forward, or the holocaust. And the Great Terror.
But the only way this ends without that scale of political violence is if we have leadership fighting. Get out there in front and show us the way

Maybe I’m being alarmist, but this is all straight out of the Authoritarian Asshole’s playbook.
Anyone saying “it won’t be that bad,” needs to go study history.

Maybe I’m wrong here.
Maybe the political officers won’t toss people out windows.
The Nazis dragged them out and shot them in the street, and CCP goons just make people disappear.
if our government leaders don’t start doing EVERYTHING they can to resist, we’re all gonna find out. Not just maga

lots of pets and treats and play time while they're on should help with him at least tolerating them.
but the first time they get the booties, "the walk" is always adorable.

And lying is objectively provable in soooo many ways. NYT rarely-if ever- calls out the GOP for lying. Yet we have dozens, frequently hundreds, of lies from trump every day. And that’s just trump.
Which, brings us back to “why not”- because the NYT is clearly biased, and clearly complicit.

And it’s objective fact the other is literally a high-ranking employee of Musk.
in a responsible world, it was a Nazis salute. And in a responsible world, of musk says it’s not- he’s lying.
And *not* calling it a Nazis salute, and giving far more attention to the “nuhuh” side is IRRESPONSIBLE.
comment in response to

It’s objective fact that Musk donates to Neo-Nazis political parties in Europe.
It’s objective fact that of the two sources saying it wasn’t, one advocated for a fascist regime currently engaged in a campaign of genocide and wants more support from trump and his allies,
comment in response to

And you were so close to getting it.
It’s objectively demonstrable that the “gesture” was identical to a Nazis salute in every meaningful way.
It’s objective fact that Musk had extensive PR training (including what gestures not to make!)
It’s objective fact that musk publicly praised Neo-Nazis.

My parent's used to give their doxie carrots as treats instead of treats. particularly for training.
when ever I'd go over and cook, if I was prepping carrots, she knew she got the tips and would be at the end of the counter with *those* eyes.
old-pupper tax. from the carrot's POV.

By the time they were inside, or doing something for which they could be arrested... the cops were outnumbered by such a huge margin that there was simply no way they could effect day-of-arrests. hundreds, probably thousands to one cop.
they just didn't have the means to deal with it.
comment in response to

For example, instead of "unscalable barriers" which are tall, temporary fences that are designed to stop riots, they used crowd control barricades which are basically portable bike racks. (those gray things that get smashed into cops.)

So.... there were extreme deficiencies in the security arrangements for Jan 6. They had plenty of warning (including several watch dog agencies reporting it to the FBI, capital police, and several other agencies,)
So on the day of, they were simply unprepared (personally, I'd say by design.)
