This is so so sad. Harriet the Spy was definitely a fave of mine as a little girl.

Reading this feels appropriate given our times.

They are taking away one of the few Starbucks coffee drinks I like. How dare you get rid of the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino Starbucks! 😫

Next up on the docket: The Island by Adrian McKinty

Holy Moly Twists Batman! Up until the very last page, this book is full of surprises. I thought I had something figured out and nope. Completely wrong. If you like outlandish twists and turns, gothic mysteries, creepy house settings, unreliable characters, and Riley Sager pick up this book.

Quick reminder that if you see a headline from a source you’ve never heard of that isn’t being reported by anyone else, you really should do some due diligence before spreading it around as fact. There’s enough misinformation floating around already; no need to add more.

Thanks to George Conway for posting Caroline Kennedy's letter so everyone is informed about RFK Jr. Please repost far and wide.

Anyone else use the Forest app? I love it when I want to focus on something and not look at my phone, such a when I am reading. It could also help with giving you a break from the doom scrolling and current hellscape on the internet.

Next Up: The Only One Left by Riley Sager I have enjoyed all of the Sager books I have read so far. My girl friends decided to do a book club and this was the first book chosen!

Finished my re-read of Wicked by Gregory Maguire! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A lovely read though it was hard to get through at some points. The musical/movie is based on the world this author extends and is an outline of it. This is dark and twisted, with more information about Elphaba’s upbringing and her story.

I can never finish a full coffee. I forget about it and it gets cold and I never feel like heating it up. So I don’t get it much. But don’t you know I always get a medium at Dunkin because you never know, maybe I will drink all of this today. Today was no exception to this.

My baby Watson. He’s chonky, a mama’s boy, a scaredy cat, and loves his laser pointer. He loves to climb up on my chest and body slam my face and he sticks his nose in my face to smell my breath😂 I also think he could be a cat model if he wasn’t so skittish! May be biased. Show me your pets!

Just so we’re clear: 1. Audiobooks count 2. Reading is political 3. The orange man is a piece of 💩 Thanks for stopping by 💃

This was helpful for me to get some perspective and some tactics to use when I’m feeling overwhelmed with hopelessness about our current events. 💛

Not all heros wear capes , some wear their faith , it takes great courage to speak truth to power And Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde Did just that.

What are you reading? I’m re-reading Wicked and just started the audio of I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy #reading #currentread #books #wicked #jennettemccurdy #whatareyoureading

I have so many feelings about what’s happening. Is there any hope? Where is it? I don’t even know where to begin.
