if i can figure out a way to work on music despite all the hand pain & joint issues, i'd be extremely happy. i still constantly write stuff in my head but my hands don't work well enough for all the menus on M8 very often. any MIDI controllers that work well?

like we all get off-beat sometimes, but this was just entirely without rhythm. if you're using a computer, get a midi controller & learn to finger drum. if using a mixer, get good with a fader too (can still use finger drum skills on roland video mixers)

just Photoshop CS3 Extended works too, since newer versions don't work for a lot of the video stuff i use it for. pretty sure CS6 does what i need in Premiere & After Effects, so i think i'm good there but Photoshop CS6 changed how it works with video files significantly

it's way more worrying hearing gunshots in suburban or rural areas than cities. in chicago, even the times i heard full-auto bursts in the 90s, i always knew there was a fuckton of brick & concrete between me & the danger. out here, just a bunch of wood so that gunshot 1mi away might be an issue

weird that narcan isn't always prescribed to anyone prescribed opioids longer than 2 weeks, just to be safe. pain-management gave me some, makes sense w memory issues though i've learned i'm more likely to forget meds than take them twice. only took (checks notes) 10.5 yrs. chronic pain sucks btw

the good news is that this seems to mean i wasn't getting anywhere near all the med marijuana in my lungs but now... well, definitely helps w/ the pain more than it has been lately. food & water would get stuck somewhere too, was weird coughing up water you drank hrs earlier

been having issues w my throat for ~10 yrs, had multiple doctors say everything was fine. yesterday morning, i coughed up a small splinter of wood. no fucking idea how/when i inhaled that, very glad it's out. now at least my throat feels better than it has in years. that's how my birthday started :(
