This all ties back to the fairly obvious truth that people are fans of a *team*, not the league as a whole. MLS seems to not quite grasp this and it leads to nonsense like MLS forcing fans to listen to Max Bretos and Brian Dunseth yap about the USMNT and growing the game

Who’s going to play wide left for Seattle in possession? Of the “big 4” only Pedro can actually do that, but Schmetzer seems to insist on playing him on the right. The Pauls and Georgi can play wide left, but none of them will be a LB OOP, so you’d have to bench one of the “big 4” to do that.
