NOAA has a much larger role than just weather and oceanography...
NOAA also regulates commercial satellite imaging companies - a rapidly growing industry within the space sector that make up a large portion of SpaceX's transporter rideshare launch portfolio.

I think we'll soon feel the same about AI and LLMs. They're a great place to start learning new ideas and concepts.

Back in middle school, I remember how much teachers hated Wikipedia.
"Anybody can edit it! It's not a reliable source of information!"
But the reality is Wikipedia is a great way to be introduced to a topic and learn the context around it.
It's a great place to start and a bad place to stop.

It sings itself "Happy Birthday" every year, too. Solitude has its downsides, I guess.

I put one of these stickers on mine. I wish I was in a position to sell it, instead, but at least I can make it an object of irony in the meantime.

I guess my point is we would be better off viewing labor as the need to be met rather than people as laborers to squeeze work out of.
Doing what you love should be the norm. Doing "what needs to be done" should be the application of technology.

Instead, we view labor as a lump-mass of suffering that those with capital and de facto privilege are entitled to burden the lesser classes with.

If we could spend our lives doing the things we actually want to do and allow technology to fill in the labor gaps - to do the "boring" stuff, or the labor with a higher demand than there are laborers who choose to do it - wouldn't that maximize quality of life?

As someone who literally builds "land to satellite" systems for a living, I am confused.

The signs read something like:
Please do not
patronize
King Soopers.
Employees are
on strike due to
unfair employment
practices
...
It's basically an eye chart.
