Where is the Barack Obama for this moment? A leader who can speak of hope and change at a time when this dystopian darkness seems to be swallowing the soul of America. It’s time to move beyond outrage. We need to plan, we need to organize. And we need to hope most of all.

I say again, support your local public libraries! We visited ours today to file our toddler’s first-ever passport application. It’s a major public service not all libraries offer, so we are super thankful this is a thing here. The whole process took just an hour (including a stop for pastries).

I’m concerned about the direction of our country but will not be discussing politics at all this Thanksgiving. I think it would be far too difficult to find any common ground whatsoever. It’s just not worth the hard feelings and strained relationships.
