They know the options for lowering end-user prices in absolute terms (e.g. tax reforms, more RE, electrification, going hard on flexibility and storage). But agree, relative to US/China not a lot can be done on short-medium term (if ever).

@ronald the fossil part of municipal waste heat incineration is not counted in the RE share (!). But yes, even Denmark still has challenges, esp. moving away from biomass and municipal waste heat. But they are tackling that challenge, as described in the paper, and far ahead of others.

Agree that other countries should not (and will not) follow the Nordics/Baltics on biomass use. Large heat pumps will be able to replace a very big share of biomass CHP luckily.
