PH against a LH in late game situation & lifting Meyer..ok. Not starting him against a LH day after he went deep for 1st time is managerial malpractice. I like Alex. I do. Unlike a lot of fans of the team. But his roster & lineup decisions this season are starting to piss me off w/ their absurdity.

Because they are too dumb to know how to attack it. think if they speak up it will be framed as not supporting the military. State unequivocally and repeatedly you support the troops, but not the $ spent. Draw parallels to n Korea. Point out Trumps birthday is same day and it’s ego based. Cowards

She’s also a moron. Biles was taking about someone who was ACTUALLY a predator! Riley is insinuating that anyone trans is a predator even when having done nothing predatory. What a fucking disgusting human being.

Who cares. They keep saying “I need to be better” & “I feel like we are close” or “I’m about to turn it around, trying some new things..” words at this point don’t mean a thing. Performance does. You can’t be “close” for a month. That isn’t close. Make the overdue changes in personnel you cowards!

Nail on the head here Nick. Players blow out a knee in college and their career is over it costs the NFL nothing. Wouldn’t be that way if they were laying a development salary to them. So they will let it happen and draft the next available player instead.

They are the only major sport that doesn’t do this and it’s always been weird to me. Hockey stashes kids all over the place to develop. Baseball obviously. Basketball now offers the G-league but again can stash players overseas to develop. Football…most money/profit driven so they won’t pay for it.

The number of injuries they either had, coming back from, or could be issues (Kutter) made trading Preister even more odd to me at the time. He had a legit big time arm and a better spring than the guys promised rotation spots. At least from a depth perspective that trade made no sense then- or now!

Then the follow up question should have been…are you keeping anyone that covered sports as their primary position to shift into that reporter and digital content role?” If the answer is no- then they eliminated the department! Covering sports and having a sports department are different things.

Call me crazy but I have no interest in trading white as part of any reset financially. Brown? Yeah I would trade him as much as I love him. KP, I would trade him too if a club was interested. Derek I have no interest in seeing go any place.

viewership numbers I think are self inflicted. NFL (until late in season anyway) is on same days at the same times in every market. UFL games bounce all over the place. It’s not appointment viewing as it is, in terms of quality- but if you don’t even know when the appointment is, hard to be there!

These people are so dumb. The were trying to say they don’t have to turn over DOGE stuff via FOIA because they aren’t government employees, and then they hired these people to be part of the government full time. Which means now that defense isn’t applicable! How dumb are they?!?!

The fact that nobody, not 1 time that I have heard anyway, has not asked these clowns why if their concern over anti-semitism is so huge- why is the administration staffed with, meets with, and speaks at places that have so many Nazi sympathizers apart of it. Podcasts, conferences.

They’ve been subscribing to the definition of insanity since the start of the season. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. It’s time to do something different to see if the results are different! Stop being cowards!

If they DFA Trevor, some team will trade for him. Team would have to eat money. But we would have to be able to at least get a replacement level first basement back! If they are frustrated, they now know how fans feel. Don’t just talk. Do something. There are options!

Fans will continue to watch if they see Hope for the future. Anthony is up. Story is gone. KC has started to hit better since Meyer came up. A fellow rookie to share with. Still not an All-Star, but he’s not hitting 100 in the last 10 games either.

If they make the hard choices, there’s enough time for a couple things to happen. Either light a spark & the team takes off. Or they have enough of a sample size to make an informed decision at the trade deadline. They can sell off pieces and get assets with an eye towards the future.

Might get long… if that’s the way he feels the question should be, then why do we keep doing the same things if they’re not getting better and it’s not working. Same players in same positions for the same failures. It’s time to rip off the Band-Aid , make the hard choices if that’s how they feel.

So giving the rookie even more to think about as he is already struggling was all for not then? Things are running so smoothly here in Red Sox nation!!

Too much money, too many people, too many assholes at them. Not enough security or people directing traffic to help people get in and out of them. Understaffed during so everything is a hassle. There are a few pretty good reasons.

Is it just me or is it hard to believe he is still only 22? He was obviously a big name in his draft year as he was thought to be a tough sign but Sox got him. So we have been following him for a while now up the ladder. Let’s hope he continues his upward trend.

Remember that whole “it costs more to hire new employees than to retain the ones you have” thing? How much did it cost extra to fire/buy out people only to rehire and train this many new ones? What a fucking clown show. Another DOGE success story on waste and efficiency!

This is an example of a show taking too long to get their product back out there. A hit show that takes years in between releases risks the show losing its zeitgeist feel. To the point people are thinking “oh! They still make that?” And have moved on to other content. Bad show management to me.

He has no shot at an MVP of the team plays this awful. Right or wrong, voters tend to reward the best player on the best team if they have a choice to make.

This is the downside to having former players run the team. They remember what it feels like to be cut or DFA. Always felt like they were just about to turn it around. They are slow to act as a result. Say what you want about non-players running teams, but that distance helps their objectivity.

reasons for keeping him down are dumb. His low chase rate would be among tops in baseball. K% among best on team. ground ball % nonsense, at least he puts it in play which is one of teams biggest issues, especially w/ RISP. It’s service time related & fear to rip off bandaid & make tough choices.

And he has been hammering them. No, wait. Check that. He has hit 100 for the last month + and 3 games ago Cora had hit hitting cleanup. 🙄

it’s pretty crappy MLB can take games from a teams regional network. I get wanting subscribers. But the viewers in a teams home markets already subscribe to a cable package in order to watch Major League Baseball. Forcing them to pay another subscription to watch as well should be illegal.

The biggest failure to be honest with you could be first base. They obviously didn’t count on the injury. But how do you not have a depth option at first base?! That’s the easiest position to find a guy to understand the spot well enough that he can hit for you!

Should have said if KC, DOESNT go down he hits 8 or 9. And they need to let Hamilton use his speed. Bunt for hits. Drag bunts. Be scary for a defense and disrupt them. Sogard at 3rd til Alex is back then an option for 2B, Meyer at SS. Need to try stuff soon so you have a sample size come deadline.
comment in response to

Ceddane could get good amount of ABs by being a super util guy. SS, all 3 OF slots. Even 2B of needed. If Campbell does go down, he has to hit 8 or 9. Not 4-6! Hamilton played well last year with consistent at bats. He plays 1 game a week now if lucky. Hard to be ready or on a groove like that.
comment in response to

Ppl can say what they want about FO being run by guys with masters degrees who never played, but that distance of not playing keeps them more objective. Story clearly needs to go. Campbell needs to be sent to AAA find his stroke & confidence. Roman needs to be up. Ceddane needs to be a util guy.

problem with having a former player, especially one like Breslow who played so many places, is they remember the feelings of being cut, traded or DFA’d. so I think they make moves slower to the negative of the team because they always felt THEY were just about to turn it around when they played.
comment in response to

Why wouldn’t he be? Having him in the Boston lineup would show the team leadership is ready to try something new that might work, cut the dead weight lose, and provide hope to the fan base. They don’t believe in that.
comment in response to
post
Almost like counting on a guy who has spent most of the last 3 yrs on the IL to have the same strength & bat speed & giving him the job even though he was outplayed for it at every turn was a bad decision…that they seem resigned to be stuck in even though it’s clearly passed time to pull the plug.

It’s obviously OTAs and all, but for once it’s nice to hear good stuff about the rookie class performing well against the vets and not just against other rookies in the rookie mini-camp.
comment in response to

He has no real answers. Because he has a rookie second baseman who has gone massive length of time between hits recently and repeatedly. Bottom line, it will take big bold moves to create space for Roman to come up. Big bold moves aren’t his thing. He’d rather sink with this roster for some reason.

At this point he should be focusing on sending an unmanned crew to safely reach low earth orbit! How do we send a guy to head up an agency of government efficiently, when that same dude keeps blowing up billion dollar rockets!!!
comment in response to

I like Alex a lot. I think he’s great with players. But he’s the guy making out lineups w/ rookies hitting cleanup in their fourth game. Or rookies who have hit 100 for the last month hitting cleanup. putting Whitlock in situations he continues to melt down game after game. I’d be a little worried!
comment in response to

he’s not up quite simply cause org is run by cowards. It will take big bold moves to clear the spot for him. And they are afraid to do it. That’s the big downside to having players as front office guys and managers. They remember the feeling of being traded or cut. So they wait too long to act.

considering parting those guys. after she burned her political career by being in the Oval Office, and giving him a big hug when he arrived in Michigan. She burned her political career for absolutely no reason. When will people ever learn that that’s exactly what happens when Trump is involved.
comment in response to

I think Breslows answers, are because he has no answer but has to say something. He knows Roman should be there. He just doesn’t have the guys to pull the triggers on the moves to make the space. Will take big bold moves. That’s just not Craig’s strong suit. Or Henry’s higher than him.
