A 3.1% contact rate is abysmal. It's going to need at least an approach change and likely a substantial swing change. 80-grade raw power alleviates those concerns a bit, since it does DAMAGE if it makes contact.

I feel this. It's not just with my normie non-academic friends and relatives who are unaware, it's w/ academic friends who aren't political scientists who are carrying on like nothing. I compartmentalize to a degree to stay sane too, but this cognitive dissonance in my life is stressful.
