This Fair Dealing week, we’re breaking down myths and facts about fair dealing. Just because educators have the right to use copyrighted works, doesn’t mean they are free to use any amount of the work. Fair dealing is a specific right in Canadian copyright law. Learn more at copyright.caut.ca

Wow the NDP really said "oh you didn't want to make any changes to the first past the post system? Not at all? Cool hold my beer"

Ironic that the premier who likes to micromanage municipal politics wants the federal government to get out of his way eh?

ONTARIO : Go vote today! It takes mere minutes.

Voted! The step that took the longest at the poll was getting my driver's license out because it got stuck in my wallet.

If you're keeping score, the NDP and Greens are implitctly committing about $1.5B/year to PSE student and institutions, the Tories between $150-200M/year (a bit unclear because some of their apprenticeship funding will go to unions), and the Liberals are offering negative $2-3 billion. Happy voting!

This Fair Dealing week, we’re breaking down myths and facts about fair dealing. There’s this belief that educators are the reason for the decline in author royalties. That couldn’t be further away from the truth. Learn more at copyright.caut.ca

This Fair Dealing week, we’re breaking down myths and facts about fair dealing. We tend to think of copyright as being only about protecting creators, works and ensuring those creators get paid. But copyright is all about balance. Learn more at copyright.caut.ca

Ok, I forgive McDavid for exactly 3 horribly wooden TV ads.

The Ottawa Charge game tonight was truly wild. Vanisova with the Gordie Howe hat trick? Tying goal with less than 7 seconds left in regulation? High energy OT? The PWHL is just so much fun to watch.

Is Canadians' belief that we are naturally superior hockey players - and that our hockey victories over other nations represent something about our national character - just a new post-Cold War iteration of the militia myth? (Aka, let's over intellectualize why this game seems to mean so much)

As I keep running into this... if you're willing to take this kind of shortcut in the literature review, why would I assume that you have actually done your protocol, research activities, double checked your data management, validated your stats ? How can I trust the rest of your work?

I am like... not particularly interested in a fun and light-hearted international hockey rivalry right now. I gave the last few games of the women's rivalry series a miss and the men's NHL-hosted four nation face-off is actively turning me off.

This is a very cool dataset to explore.
