"You aren't seeing all their statements"
And that's the problem. It's the job of the electeds to get their message out, not the job of the people to go on an epic quest in order to just find a statement.

Honestly, if Gavin Newsom was a better opportunist, he'd probably be the Resist Libs messiah by now. The man believes in nothing other than his rank hatred for Republicans.
But he had to let consultant brain infect him.

The thing is that congressional Dems are unpopular because the Dem base is mad, not because the Dem base aren't Dems anymore.
Republicans huffing these polls a pure copium will have a very bad time when reality hits.

And this is before they got rid of everyone in favor of MAGA McAlpha Man whose idea of logistics is to set up at the nearest frat kegger and call it a day

I'm hoping that he realized he torpedoed his chances at the presidency. So he now fired the consultants, and is going back his roots in hating Republicans with a fervor so he can get an appointment.
Newsom, as the head of Pritzker's DHS, sends his jack booted thugs to go wedgie DeSantis every day.

I remember having someone put up LA county's total GHG emissions and compare it to San Bernardino county's total GHG emissions and try to make a point about how that's why high density cities were bad for the environment.
I...just...my brain broke that day.

And even then it is still the most independent state of all the states. If California is turned into whatever the fuck conservatives think a "successful" state is, a good chunk of "real America" would cease to exist.

Not even the LA fucking PD is parroting this horseshit.
What in the fuck are you doing? Call out the lies for what they are. Lies.

Hell, this past election cycle was partially a temper tantrum thrown by small business owners because they were forced to pay the peasants more.
Every time there's talk of wage increases, you'll get small business owners whining endlessly that higher wages will kill their business.

The dude made a living off just shitting on Master Lock, but as far as I know, Master Lock just ignores him and made $750M y.o.y as of May 25.
Proven Industries just Streisanded themselves into the consciousness of a lot more people. And they're trying to sell something a lot more expensive.

There's endless yap from the "cool kids" who will smugly say that "Bernie is the compromise," but all they have is talk.
They'll decry AOC as useless, but then cheer on a sub 2% aggregate vote share across 4 different disparate 3rd parties as some sort of game-changing victory.
It's infuriating.

On some level, why would *any* non terminally online normie suffering under Trump ever trust the left?
"Where the hell is Jill? What has she done since asking us for money?"
Too often, the loudest faces of "the left" talk big about helping everyone, but falls woefully short in meaningful action.

Maybe I have the image of angry folks slamming doors in my face when I was part of the green party seared in my head, but part of the reason "the left" has no power is because of nonsense like this.
There's real harm, and Parker is proclaiming her ego is more important than mitigating that harm.

Greta probably wouldn't either.
The people who don't care just do not care, and we put the people who don't care the most into positions where they hold the most consequential levers of power.

There's endless ability to critique and understand that the changing context of the modern world renders *the other guy's* writings out of date.
But my guy? No, my guy's never wrong. Ever.

People, regardless of where they are on the political spectrum, always believe that dead men are not infallible, except for THEIR favorite dead guy. That guy is infallible.
It holds with Marx, it holds with the Constitution, it holds with everything.

Also I cannot tell you just how *god awful* people are at actually parsing both their own finances and numbers in general.
Lifestyle inflation was absolutely insidious over the last few years. I had clients bitching endlessly about how they can't afford anything...as they got a 3rd car payment.

If you're gonna live in China, a Shanghai hukou is as good as it gets. It's one of the Big 4 for a reason.

Let's do the Hukou system, but *infinitely worse*.
Meanwhile my family in China who don't live in the big 4: "Fuck this shit"
I still have family members in rural China who will never forgive my parents and I for giving up our Shanghai Hukou.

There's also a smugness about the people who do this too, like they believe they know the key to the salvation, if only the dang oppressed people would have the bravery to die for it.
So many larpers who want to *direct* the revolution without taking any personal risks themselves.

Also the people saying Russia will respond are dipshits because they're acting as if Russia isn't already lobbing missiles into civilian centers regularly.
