That's funny. When my kids was in a non traditional elementary school, where the parents helped in the classroom, I (the foreigner) was the one EVERYONE came to for questions about spelling and grammar.

Not catastrophic smoke either 😉. Looks like it's mostly steam and far enough away to not be too worrisome THIS time of year. If the smoke gets bad, close your windows and strap an air filter to your fan. If you have to go outside in the smoke, wear a wet bandana, or a n95, or a respirator.

I've lived in rural Southern Oregon for almost 25 years. MOST of my fire stories are mellow, went camping on the coast for a few days to get out of the smoke, etc. SOME aren't fun, getting stuck in the SF Bay area for 4 months with a blown engine because I evaced prematurely. Be safe this summer.

"weeds" are mother nature's ground cover. She likes to hang on to her precious soil. Any garden should protect it's soil. If you don't like weeds, plant ground cover you like, or mulch. If there are dormant areas, leave the weeds alone until you get around to replacing them.

In Germany there's 2 flavors of xtianity, and there'll be just enough churches to cover the area/population. In murrica, there's 25 flavors of it, and they all compete with each other and will put churches in towns whether there's a real congregation or not.
