Oh yep they'll endlessly waffle on about the alleged uses of it but at the end of the day ... it's still a theft machine because none of these datasets are solely trained on open source data. We all know this.

OMG this happened to me some years ago!
I was still doing fanfics and fanarts for Kylux (m/m star wars villain ship) and someone was like "you should write fics for other fandoms". Nah fam, I had my niche and I naturally switched fandom eventually but not to the one they wanted.

Bella had a stressful day. She had to go into her carrier (awful!) then we had a car ride (scary!) and when we finally got home she got her ears cleaned and her coat brushed, plus all her scratched spots treated. Terrible to be perceived this much.

Oh you wouldn't believe how much I got shamed in the star wars fandom for saying I do not want to read about the male characters I'm shipping together being with women - past or present.
Or how people who ship my NOTP wrote to me over other platforms asking why I blocked them (twitter era)

Since my first forays into reading fanfics were in German: writer's personal archives, Animexx (the biggest anime&manga community in German at the time), yaoi dot de - another German archive site, but just for m/m stuff

Same! There were a scant few archive sites already when I was a teen, but I'll never forget the German Yaoi archive which had more appropriate content notes for fics than any other archives at the time.

Correct.
While it's true that a lot of asexual people are sex-repulsed to some degree, there's also misconceptions about what that means.
For example: I don't care as long as it's not about me. Suggestions about me in sexual context make me massively uncomfortable.

All this and:
Stop using asexual people as a shield. Not only aren't we a monolith, we can also all decide for ourselves as individuals if we want to go to Pride or not.
(Plus you can't avoid cis-het erotic stuff in mainstream media either way.)
