Mmm for an isometric SRPG it's certainly both one of the most easily accessible and also one of the best of its day.
Personally after playing Tactics Ogre LUCT (the game that FFT was modeled on) I think it's the better game.
The secret sauce to FFT is the customization lacking elsewhere.
