Susie, who is the team fundraising chair, was connected with Black Diamonds hoping to learn about any scholarships available for Black youth. Black Diamonds wasn’t aware of any scholarships at the time.

Each player has to raise their own funds. This has been a challenge for Denym, as his parents have only been able to make a payment toward his air and land package to secure his spot. Denym has participated in team fundraising events, but this hasn’t helped him much individually.

Elementary educator who uses windows and mirrors here. The thing about windows is that it’s the viewer’s responsibility to find a window, not the window’s responsibility to facilitate the viewer. Reading and listening will reveal all, and it takes the pressure off of the window.
