Rebranding is historically how systemically marginalized populations have survived/continued to do the work. It’s unfortunately the only way right now. We should’ve done more to avoid this.

Yep Leica stopped making them! I’ve been looking into other companies. Luckily we have access to an older one now but looking to upgrade soon and didn’t bite the bullet when they told us they were going to stop making them, which I now regret!

I think it’s different in a lot of ways but mostly meant this in reference to the student body make up, which is diverse in lots of ways. We’re at such a special R1!

I enjoyed meeting Ben and he did a great job running the meeting.
During breaks we had a chance to chat about various topics.
He told me a story about one of the first seminars he gave a Ben. Afterwards, one audience member was overheard saying "His work is so much better than his sister's."
