Blocking MPs from voting on a US trade deal would be straight out of Trump's anti-democratic playbook. Labour MPs should make clear to the PM they won't let him sell out our NHS, undercut farmers or weaken protection for children online. He must give Parliament a vote.

Join us in sending birthday howls to Mexican gray wolf Lighthawk - he's 10 years old today! Born in the wild + (sadly) removed from it just a few years later, Lighthawk has found love + a family at the WCC. He's embraced the role of father + is a guiding light for his family.

When it rains, elephants celebrate accordingly! Our Voi herd was treated to a proper downpour this weekend — and to quote their Keepers, they marked the occasion by rolling around and playing like children. Support an orphan’s journey back to the wild: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/orphans

On his show today @mrjamesob.bsky.social gave the most brilliant shoutout for A Spy at War.

Weather's back

Zongoloni’s story began in heartbreak—found standing guard over her dying mother, too young to survive alone. Today, she lives wild, returning often to dote on little Lenny and Sulwe—perfect practice for her own baby, as she’s now heavily pregnant. Support Zongoloni: swt.bio/zongoloni

In a world full of uncertainty and rampant dickheadery, I hope it gives some sense of reassurance when I say that the new #Statham #film is *absolutely* everything a new #Statham film should be

It's out! Rise of the Zombie Bugs is officially released today, and I'm so grateful to everyone at @hopkinspress.bsky.social who made that happen. Want a peek? Read an excerpt at @livescience.com about the zombifying fly that parasitizes ants and decapitates its host from inside the ant's head 🧪

This is Wallace. He did immediately try to eat his new babysitters, but beginning to test authority is a perfectly normal part of growing up. 12/10

Thirteen years ago today, Barsilinga was rescued after poachers killed his mother. Just weeks old, he was one of the lucky ones we found in time. Barsilinga’s story is a powerful reminder that once you’re part of the SWT family, you’re never alone. Celebrate his rescueversary: swt.bio/barsilinga

Arrived in Cambodia! So far, beautiful. And very, very hot. First stop - Angkor Wat.

it's a long ask, but I was thinking fondly of a Cambridge tutor of mine today and have completely blanked on his name, and I figured there's a chance somebody here might know him. He was a former miner who used the payout to go to university and do a PhD in Eng. Lit, studying Tony Harrison I think.

Morning, good people. Can you please be aware of the account below. @reecedinsdale2.bsky.social It is not me. There is no 2 in my account name. They are simply reposting my posts. I’m not quite sure why. Please block them. Thank you

For reasons that are unclear, it appears to be Monday tomorrow. This is an outrage

Your semi-regular reminder that I make (expensive) replicas of fantasy weapons

🔊 Sound on to hear the joyful trumpets and rumbles as ex-orphans Mutara (with baby Mambo), Turkwel, Kainuk, and the newly-minted mum Sities welcome her calf, Sunni. These lifelong bonds show that the orphan herd isn’t just a phase — it’s a family. And moments like this are made possible by you.

Here are the Top 5 Dogs of the week!

Born to Yatta, one of our most iconic ex-orphans and matriarch of a vast wild-living herd, Yara represents everything the Orphans’ Project strives for. From an orphaned calf to a leader in the wild, Yatta has come full circle — and now, she’s guiding a her own family in the wilderness.

Ate my lunch ages ago and now I don't know what to have for lunch

Everyone at the Nursery is well-versed in Muwingu’s mischief. Recently, she's taken her cheeky behaviour up a level: Instead of a surreptitious swipe of a muddy trunk at milk time — classic — she's starting sucking up trunkfuls of muddy water, before squirting the liquid at any bystander.

Bring back proper games journalism.

New #Pulp music on 6music in a bit. This is not a drill!

I started my blog in 2005 and it’s almost 20 years old, spanning nearly a third of my entire life. I’m posting more regularly now, as an alternative to social media, so do have a look if you fancy a gentle read and nice pictures. #blogging #shropshire allaroundus.blogspot.com/2025/04/coun...

www.nytimes.com/2025/04/09/r... There are four the ecological responsibilities of every landscape: Every landscape needs to manage the watershed in which it lies, needs to support pollinators, needs to support a viable food web and needs to sequester carbon.

This June I'm heading out on my Solo Acoustic Tour! This will be my first ever Acoustic Tour! It will be my best first Solo Acoustic Tour! Be there or be a square!

This is Tenney. She has a case of the zoomies. And also the agility of a running back. 13/10

Bondeni, Kindani, and Kinyei — ‘The Kaluku Trio’ — are three unique orphans who have grown up side by side. Although they aren’t related by blood, they share a bond as strong as any siblings Read all about their journey together: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/news/fieldnotes/december-2023
