I was thinking the same thing re: telling Tehran to evacuate. the first thought that came to me was that the US was about to bomb them. Why is he telling another country to evacuate?

They need to do more than that. They need to be held accountable. "I was just following orders" was not a valid alibi during the Nuremburg trials."

That said, different Christians interpret Jesus’ message in different ways, leading to diverse political conclusions. But if your question is about alignment with the character and teachings of Jesus, the evidence suggests significant tension between that and Trump’s actions in both elections.

His teachings emphasize humility, compassion, truth, and justice, and He consistently challenged the powerful and uplifted the marginalized. Based on those values, many of Trump’s policies and behaviors would seem to conflict with Jesus’ moral and ethical priorities.

• Opposition to abortion (a major moral issue for many Christians)
• Support from many evangelical leaders who view him as a “flawed but useful vessel”
🤔 Conclusion:
It’s unlikely that Jesus—as described in the Gospels—would align Himself with any modern political party or leader.

• Multiple documented falsehoods and a felony conviction for falsifying business records
• Civil liability for sexual abuse and defamation
• Policies favoring wealthier Americans, including tax cuts for the rich
🔍 Counterpoints Some Might Make:

• Truthfulness and integrity (John 8:44 speaks of the devil as the father of lies; Jesus often emphasized truth)
• Care for children (Mark 9:37)
🧾 Actions by Donald Trump That May Conflict:
• Separation of immigrant children from families
• Harsh rhetoric toward immigrants and refugees

analyze Trump’s policies and behavior in light of Jesus’ teachings.
🕊️ Key Teachings of Jesus to Consider:
• Compassion for the poor and marginalized (Matthew 25:35–40)
• Welcoming the stranger and foreigner (Matthew 25:35, Luke 10:27–37)
• Nonviolence and humility (Matthew 5:5, Matthew 5:9)

It’s fucking bizzaro world we’re living in where the President shares untruths on truth social, the justice department serves injustice, the department of education promotes ignorance, and the health department increases disease by undermining prevention.

Senator Chris Murphy posted a clear explanation of what Trump is doing with tariffs. It took him 11 posts on Bluesky which I consolidated into one document with no changes.

Does he not realize that wealthy Americans are willing to pay $2,350 to renounce their US citizenship so that they are exempt from the US global taxation laws. Why would any rich foreigner who can live tax free somewhere else choose to pay $5M to live in the US?
