Overturning Sullivan has at least two votes on the Supreme Court — Thomas and Alito. Maybe more. I can’t overstate how catastrophic that would be for free expression in America in an environment where political and performative defamation litigation are common.

like the idea of making childcare easier by restoring “the village” aka unpaid labor by other women. yes, individual moms have it hard; that doesn’t justify expecting women collectively to be free caregivers (not talking about state funded/subsidized childcare done by *paid professionals*)
