there are two types of plants: good plant that dies when you look at it, bad plant which gets its nutrients from your hatred and grows through concrete

It's like a significant part of the respectable, educated populace don't understand that a “protest“ isn't just a 501c3 applying for a parade permit with the local police 6 weeks in advance.

The what?!

Nah, they’d have to have a soul for that to happen.

We have always been bad. We are just doing to our own what we do overseas now.

I went out with a group looking for them in that area that’s now part of Chuckwalla National Monument but we never found any. Lots of fairy dusters though!

I guess I hadn’t realized it but Fish Creek does go all the way out onto flat lands and major roads, doesn’t it? I dunno why I always thought of it as just the syncline/wind caves canyon.

Andrew Cuomo is a corrupt sex offender, but Zohran opposes genocide, so who's to say which is worse
comment in response to post
Just ONCE I’d like to hear a “Mr. Cuomo, excuse me, Mr. Cuomo, do you condemn the IDF? Do you condemn the mass slaughter of civilians?”

“Why are you so evil? You have 1 second to respond.” Great moderation /s. Also Zorhan is set to the farthest left side of the stage, separated from the other candidates and off screen despite being in the top 2. They’re fucking terrified.

I just want to add that several other candidates did not say Israel and they were not pressed like Zohran was. Completely insane

(I’m pretty sure that was the joke.)

Artists navigating bullshit commercial forces while still creating meaningful and, at times, truly radical work don't owe anyone honest statements of intent, nor is their intent the primary issue.

The whole cast of Morning Joe have been promoting Israeli propaganda this whole time and MSNBC fired all of their hosts that were too sympathetic to Palestine.
comment in response to post
It’s not the dying that’s the issue, it’s the killing. (And MSNBC has been very unsympathetic to Palestine this whole time!)
comment in response to post
Good luck with that. They’ve been excusing Israel‘s actions regularly this whole time. And basically we think that’s what MSNBC cancelled Mehdi’s show, was he kept standing up for Palestine. Joy Reid and Ayman Mohyeldin too.

Ah, I figured that would be a problem but then wondered if I might be overestimating how bad allergies like that can be. I’m sorry that that happens to you! (Or that it could happen.)
comment in response to post
Watch some cops turn out to be allergic or something and then say it’s the Fentanyl when they have a reaction…

There was apparently different one with the ants! (Though Wiki seems to have edited that out?) bsky.app/profile/hex....

The more “sophisticated” argument is that socialism “doesn’t work”, but lemme tell you, folks, if we stopped doing things in America because they didn’t work, this country would look *a lot different*

I would suggest that anyone who hears a guy say "I need to explode these rockets over Texas every month because eventually the sun will become so hot that the earth will not sustain human life" and DOESN'T think he's a fraud and an idiot is the person who hasn't been paying close attention.

"'sacred prostitution' in goddess-worshipping cultures" hits very different when you're from India and you're perfectly aware how 'sacredly' lower-caste and casteless girls--NOT WOMEN, GIRLS--are forced into temple prostitution by holy men. Save my sisters from the reverence of holy men.

Whaaaat? Tell your grass to give my local invasive grasses some lessons.

Did the seeds come up though? Did they get overrun with invasive plants?
